Advantages: A gripping thriller Disadvantages: Lack of bonus features on DVD
Fear is an edge of your seat suspenseful thriller that seems to be relatively unknown. It was released in 1996, starring Reece Witherspoon & Mark Wahlberg in two early roles for the both of them. This is a really gripping thriller that deserves a lot more recognition than it gets. I first saw this a couple of years ago when it was on TV at about 2am, it just looked like one of those films that channel 4 put on in the early hours of the morning to ... ...him to do something untoward. Fear really will keep you glued to your seat from start to finish, this isn't a horror but can be quite frightening at times which is also a great thing for this film to achieve. Fear is rated 18 & there's a good reason for that, it does get increasingly violent, especially towards the end. There are a few squeamish scenes in this film but I would still recommend this film to anyone, whether you're squeamish or not.

Advantages: Guilty pleasure film that holds your attention. Disadvantages: Its majorly cheesey with cheap special effects
As far as guilty pleasure movies go this film covers all the bases, hot young cast of newcomers ( Mark Wahlberg, Reese Witherspoon and Alyssa Milano). Full of suspense and engaging plot that keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout.
If you are looking for intelligent thought provoking film, this is not it. But if your looking for a no holds barred thriller. Then invite some of your mates round, close the curtains, turn off the light and get ... ...perfect all her life, along comes David (Wahlberg). David is everything nicole has been looking for in a boyfriend, sensitive, strong and caring. What more could she ask for? Unfortunately David isn't as perfect as he seems, he has a dark sinister side that is just waiting below the surface.
