Advantages: Three Discs Packed With 21 Episodes Disadvantages: No Extra Feature
...of my fave shows The Family Guy. I was only able to watch odd episodes and never the whole season.
My chance on getting the whole season collection on DVD was when I was given a £50 HMV voucher recently in an award ceremony during the Leap festival (http://www.lsbu.ac.uk/leap) organized by my University. It was an award to honor the contributions of student ambassadors. I was quite disappointed as the grand prize was 12 tickets to The London Eye ...

Advantages: 21 episodes. Good value for money Disadvantages: Some US jokes lost on UK audience
The Family Guy is a cartoon about an average dysfunctional US family and their talking dog. It has been the subject of controversy and censorship in the US and was dropped by Fox. In the pilot episode, Stewie, a talking baby with a British accent, was openly contemptuous of his loutish dad and already hatching a plan to kill his sweet-natured mother in a quest for world domination. Sounds weird right? But worth a look if only to see what the US censors ...

i'd describe family guy as the simpsons for an older audience. my friend showed me a few episodes and i thought it was ace and led to me buying the box sets.
meet the Griffins:
Peter Griffin - father of 3 children (meg, chris and stewie) husband of lois. fat, lazy, drinks and has a crap job never fails to make comments such "lois you're lucky, all the things you like doing - cooking and cleaning - are right here in the house waiting for you." ...

Family Guy Season 3 DVD
Family guy follows the lives of the Griffin Family, Peter an obese imbecile with a dead end job, Louis a stressed housewife with no life outside her family, Brian the talking dog with an addictive personality, Meg teenage social reject, Chris with an Iq similar to that of a glass of water and Baby Stewie, the toddler Genius with both Homicidal and Homosexual tendencies. Sounds like a messed up family? Damn right it is.

...Homer and his crazy antictics, Family Guy has, well, EVERYTHING!
Lets start with the main characters The Griffins.
The Griffin household consists of 4 people, 1 dog and 1 evil baby genius. The main character in this house hold is Peter.
Peter works in a toy factory, even thought in this series you also see him work on a boat, as president of the toy factory and unemployed! Peter isnt the brightest person (he's very much like Homer, but ...

Family Guy Season 3
I have written a review already on the season 2 DVD, and recently ordered the season 3 DVD and watched it all in 2 days. If you are reading this you have probably already seen Family Guy at least once and know generally about the characters, and the laughs involved.
But, as im ever so kind and i take pride in detailing all my reviews to help the wondering buyer, i will give a short bio of each character in the series.

...producing lately.
The third season of Family Guy is, if possible, even funnier than the two previous seasons, but new fans should find no difficulty in picking up the pace and quips of the show.
It has a pretty simple premise for those unaware, as we follow the adventures of TV-obsessed family....guy.....Peter Griffin, his wife Lois, their children; bitchy daughter Meg, dim-witted Chris, and sexually ambiguous homicidal toddler Stewie, and finally ...

...out an outline of what Family Guy is about, there's two things you can do. You can read one of the other informative reviews here or you can take my word for it that it's mostly about nothing. Yes, in a way it is a bit like the Simpsons insofar as Fox commissioned, it's a loosely drawn colour cartoon that makes you laugh at sarcasm, smut and political incorrectness. The difference with this and it is a key difference is that it's just downright sarcastic, ...

Okay here we go....
There should be and is no comparison or similarity between the two cartoons apart from they both feature a family life in the US. Here ends the comparison.
So what is Family Guy?
Its silly, rude, funny, close to the mark, non PC, offencesive, over the top, side splittingly humouros (or however you spell it ;0) ) and an amazing depiction of family ...

Advantages: So funny it gives me stomach cramps! Disadvantages: Some jokes do tend to drag on slightly!
Family Guy is amongst the top humorous cartoons I have ever watched. The characters are funny, the jokes are brilliant.
Yet I feel somewhat disappointed. This disappointment stems from the fact that Family Guy has copied The Simpsons in many ways. The creators did not plagiarise but they incorporated many characteristics of The Simpsons into family guy.
Advantages of watching Family Guy: 20 minutes of pure humorous indulgence, a talking evil ...

Advantages: fast-paced, clever humour and brilliantly drawn characters Disadvantages: no DVD extras
I've been a long time Family Guy fan, and as wonderful as Seasons 1 and 2 were, the massive change in writing staff in preperation for Season 3 really pays off.
Family Guy has often been unfairly tagged as an "adult Simpsons", but that doesn't begin to do it justice. Family Guy's originality is in its thick and fast pop culture references, which range from accessible references to movies and TV shows with which we are all familiar, to the obscure, ...

We join the Griffin family for a fantastic third season of hilarious antics, fantastic one liners and pant-wettingly funny stories & mishaps. Laughter is a great tonic, and this will certainly get you laughing.
Peter, the overweight, and socially-inept father and his wife Lois attempt to raise their three nutty kids, and their talking alcoholic dog, Brian. If you only buy this for one reason - buy it for Stewie, the talking baby. ...

This is series 3 of Family Guy - the show bought back from the dead after strong DVD sales persuaded FOX to recommission it onto US screens.
THE SHOW ITSELF!
The show is all about the hijinx of the Griffin Family: Peter - the lazy, dim witted father, Lois - the loving wife and caring mother to their children: Chris - the simple-minded son, Meg - the daughter everyone ignores and Stewie - the infant son who dreams of ruling the world....or at least ...
