...first heard people talking about Everybody Loves Raymond, I honestly thought nothing of it. I presumed it was just another one of those nothing American comedies, and decided I'd just stick to 'Friends' and the like. It was the sort of show people would watch before going to school in the mornings, not the sort of show you'd stay in at night for and with that in mind I never really wanted to make any effort to watch it. Advantages: Funny, great episodes, likeable characters Disadvantages: Characters can grate on you, not as funny a season as the rest
Everybody Loves Raymond
The story of a guy called Ray who lives in Long Island with his meddling parents live directly across the street. His mother, Marie, often shows favouritism towards Ray, much to the dismay of his older brother, Robert. His parents will often come over unannounced and this leads to loads of funny situations particularly between Marie and Ray's wife Debra, who is always being criticised by Marie especially when it comes to ... ...a chance; it may make your family look normal. The actor Ray Romano based the character and in fact the whole show on his own life.
