I watched essex boys last night and the only other gangster flick i have seen before is lock stock so i was kinda expecting the same thing - wrong! It is based around a true story of a murder in essex in which 3 blokes were found mysteriously dead in a range rover. The plot is based around billy whizz who acts as the driver for 3 gangsters(one being sean bean)and he finds out what life is really like on the other side. There are some twists and turns ...
...the storyline away! There is a bit of comedy in it but its very dry. I didn't find it very gruesome or compelling in fact i actually lost the plot a couple of times. I didn't think sean bean was very convincing as a gangster either but then again the same could be said of vinnie jones but that worked.
