...over his head rather miraculously. Eraser is incredible as far as special effects go and I would recommend it as an entertaining option for a film. ********* The Rail Gun **********
The stunning rail guns tend to crop up now and again in the odd shoot em up action game i.e. Red Faction (PS2). But they rarely appear in action films, I would guess because the special effects and film budget would need to be very high to produce something special and ... ...Offering no special edition DVD, Eraser only comes in a rather tacky cased 1-disc edition with no booklet. The only features being production notes and an amazing theatrical trailer with a great soundtrack to accompany. Eraser is a very cheap film to buy and is often on sale in various DVD shops including the top names Virgin and HMV for a fiver or less. The Internet would be the best option where you could get the DVD off amazon for a few quid.

Advantages: Action packed Arnie movie Disadvantages: Plot could need more detail in places
John Kruger is US marshal whos sole duty is to cover up any trace of witnesses in danger of being silenced by criminal elements. His latest assignment involves a young woman Lee Cullen who holds vital information to implicating the Cyrez Corporation in a high tech weapons scam. However the finacial side involving the high tech weaponary involved has lead certain elements within the witness protection agency itself to become corrupted. Now with nobody ... ...against growing odds. Arnie is his usual action star self in this movie as Kruger. Playing the role well he delivers as a man on mission. Whilst not his strongest its still a decent enough performance and as per usual hes at his best in the action scenes.Lee Cullen is played by Vanessa Williams, who is pretty decent in this role but its not one that requires huge acting skill admittedly. She doesnt make you want to see her killed which is all the ...

This is one of my favourite Arnold Schwarzenegger movies. Not only is there mindless violence and huge guns and explosions but the plot is great too.
Firstly Arnold is great as usual. He play federal Marshal John Kruger and its his job to hide witnesses under the Witness Protection System. His great skill at this earned him the title "Eraser" hence the title. He has to hide Lee Cullen (Vanessa Williams) until a trial since she is the only witness ... ...turns in the plot and unlike most of Arnold film the action complements the plot.
The acting is superb form all the cast including Arnold, Vanessa Williams, James Caan and James Coburn. They even manage to get the usual cheesy one liner in there. Arnold shot an aligator then says "You're luggage". Very Very Arnold.
The action is superb with great stunts the usual dose of massive explosions. Oh yes it just so happens that Arnold manages to get his ...

Advantages: Non stop action Disadvantages: Shallow plot
Arnie is back, this time working for the witness protection program to 'erase' peoples' identities when they need to disappear. The film starts quickly and doesn't spend too much time on the plot - which involves a little illegal arms dealing, and a leak inside the US Government. Whilst not up to True Lies (1994), the film certainly has it's moments - enough action, 'Arnie humour', and set pieces to keep most action film fans happy.
James Caan turns ... ...two characters manage to squeeze some half decent dialogue into the otherwise frenetically paced movie.
Whilst no surprises ever materialise, one can be forgiven as this is a Schwarzenneger film where the bad guys always finish last. Well worth your money and 90 minutes of your time. ...

Advantages: Great storyline, good action Disadvantages: Storyline sometimes hard to follow
I watched this with my boyfriend a few nights ago & although it's not really one for the girls it's actually quite entertaining. When it comes to these sorts of films I tend to mentally switch off within about 10 minutes but this managed to keep my attention to entire way through & it is over 2 hours long so that's saying something!
The movie is based around 2 characters namely John Kruger played by the legend that is Arnold Schwarzenegger he's ... ...business. He is assigned to protect Lee Cullen played by Vanessa Williams of Ugly Betty. She works for a company called Cyrez. Cyrez make devastating secret weapons for the military. Lee is aware of a scam going on within the corporation & feels it her duty to help the F.B.I with the case, of course one of the main reasons she cooperates with them is that she is told she will under no threat whatsoever, this eventually comes out to be a lie by the ...

...role in BATMAN AND ROBIN. ERASER is one of my favorites of his movies. I think it ranks right up there with the TERMINATOR movies and TRUE LIES. The plot, I think, is better in this movie than in most of Schwarzenegger's movies, and of course the action does not disappoint.
Dr. Lee Cullen, (Vanessa Williams) a dedicated worker for the Cyrez Corporation, learns that there is a conspiracy going on within her business. Guns that were supposed to have ... ...the hands of terrorists. Lee does an undercover job for the FBI and barely escapes alive. U.S. Marshal John Kruger (Arnold Schwarzenegger) of the Witness Protection Program is assigned to protect Lee. Kruger will "erase" Lee's identity to keep her safe. But when he finds out that his mentor and teacher Robert Deguerin (James Caan) is also in on the conspiracy, both Lee and Kruger are in danger.
Much credit goes out to the main actors of this movie. ...

Advantages: Arnie plays a 'different' role, he doesn't show too much his muscles Disadvantages: None
...doesn’t look like exaggerated. Eraser introduces a newly-advanced laser weapon (which possibly has been already developed in US?), but afterwards it becomes a bit set a sided, and viewers shall focus on the main conflict (high-level conspiracy to eliminate a key witness, who found a black commerce of the weapon) that is presented within the movie. The movie’s tensions are presented on how Lee Cullen (Vanessa Williams) runs in rush, as she is hunted ... ...the foe” seems insignificant, because Eraser presents the high-tense on the whole fast pace of the screen itself. The most attractive scene of Eraser—I tink—is at the time Arnold was thrown away from the in-flight airplane. This scene—as I proposed above—doesn’t present too much pictures of Arnold’s muscles or fighting skill, but the tense of the scene itself. An attractive presentation from Chuck Russell, director of this movie. ...

Advantages: Slick, well made fun Disadvantages: It's so very .....80's!
Your enjoyment of Eraser may well depend on which version you are watching. There's the uncut U.S version (rated R) and the hideously censored U.K version which has been cut by nearly three & a half minutes to gain a 15 certificate. Needless to say if you have the technology (ie a multi-region DVD player) then the R1 is the one to go for. "Ah-nuld" plays U.S Marshall John Kruger assigned to protect federal witness Lee Cullen (Vanessa Williams) from ... ...before she testifies against them. Plotwise that's about it except to say that along the way they get involved in some outrageous action scenes that range from the spectacular (Arnie diving out of a plane AFTER his parachute) to the downright silly (Arnie wrestles alligators in Central Park) but director Charles Russell keeps things moving at a brisk pace and tackles the on-screen mayhem with suitable enthusiasm and flair. The central performances ...

Eraser. A guy that goes around erasing peoples lives so that they can live new ones. You know like a witness protection thing. Some woman uncovers that the company she works for are selling super weapons to Middle Eastern countries, so she copies some important files onto a disk, and gives them to the FBI or other such department. So the bad guys come after her and try to kill her, only Arnie pops up and blows stuff up, and saves her. This happens ...

Eraser is truly great it may not compare to Mission:Impossible 2 but it is still a fantastic film. All the action you would expect from a Arnie film but with a great storyline too! In the film arnold plays the role of a secret agent / Eraser who's sole purpose is to erase peoples identities who are in danger due to secret knowledge that they know and that criminal organizations want. One of the best scenes in this film is when arnold is hanging on ...

Advantages: Arny action thriller Disadvantages: Bit unbeliveable
i watched this dvd today and i am so glad i did.
The plot is gripping from the outset and i would highly recommend to anyone who likes action films. The acting is very good and i would rate this film in one of my top 5 Arny films.
The plot is simple to grasp.

I recently recorded Eraser starring Arnold Swarcheneggar from Sky Digital. I was looking forward to watching it the following night, I was all geared up for another classic film starring Arnie like "Terminator" and "Predator". When I watched it, I was absolutley appalled, it has no story line, a weak plot played by weak charachters. It was an all round appaling film and I regret even wasting my time and electricity by taping it. I "erased" the tape ...
