Advantages: Great martial arts film, superior special features Disadvantages: Have to import it (and own a region-free player)
...documentary "Location: Hong Kong with Enter the Dragon", a new documentary "Bruce Lee in His Own Words" and an all-new introduction and interview with Linda Lee Cadwell. Also, the Region Two version has been cut (the nunchaka scene).
After seeing Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story (see my opinion on it, if you like) I just had to get this film and I'm really glad that I chose Region One because the extra features really do add to the film.
It is 2.35:1 ...

Advantages: Learn some new martial arts moves! Disadvantages: Very violent, so not for really young people.
I'm pretty sure that noone could have acted in this film as well as Lee. He has amazing upper body strength and as you can imagine all the martial arts scenes are full of action and original. Lee goes to an Island to try and foil dictatorial-like character, who runs a martial arts competition, but who is corrupt. This man sees to that people who he doesn't like are killed and people that he thinks have talent join his team. The film is full of anarchy ... ...fighting scenes are excellent as every time you can expect new and exciting moves. Lee shows his amazing talents constantly, from his fighting skills, to his catching a poisonous snake. Like a human fly, he seems to get into places without being seen. Smetimes there's not much of a plot, but who needs one with such great action. ...

Advantages: Fantastic Bruce Lee action film Disadvantages: Chinese philosophy is a bit cheesy - watered down for western audience.
Enter the Dragon on DVD is totally uncut, showing all the martial arts scenes in full....many not seen in the TV film. The film was first shown in 1973. Sadly this was Bruce Lees final film, and many feel his best. Bruce passed away age 32 before the film was released so never knew the impact this film would have on fans.
The film was shot in Asia, and directed by US director Robert Clouse. The opening music score is by Lala Schifrin (Mission impossible ... ...dubbing isn't fabulous, and the storyline simple, even the Chinese philosopy seems cheesy, but this was made for the American audience, at a time when martial arts was not as popular as it is nowdays.
John Saxon and Jim Kelly and Ahna Capri co star in this film, and a lot of time is given to their own issues, but once at the island when the tournament starts Lee takes over. Various competitions show Kung Fu, Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Hap Ki Do and Escrima. ...

Advantages: great story line and fighting scenes Disadvantages: not brill graphics
When I was fairly young my dad introduced me to this film because I was so madly in love with martial arts, next thing I know I was watching it over and over again.
The story line of this film is about a Martial artist (Bruce lee) who goes to a martial arts competition on an island somewhere, but the island is full of corruption, people are held hostage, each fight is a fight to the death and the owner of the island is and evil drug smuggling man ... ...new friends.
Although seeming graphically challenged, the assortment of fights and skills involved in this film, especially by Bruce lee are outstanding, this film definitely shows up beyond the rest of its kind.
The story line is also very good and so are the sound effects.
This film is well worth the buy especially if your either a Bruce lee or martial arts fan, this is truly a memorial film by bruce lee ...

Enter The Dragon is another film based on the Marshal Artist Bruce Lee. I personally think that this film consits of excellent performance from all characters and especially, Bruce Lee's best performance. People who may be worried in showing this film to the children - the certificate is only an 18 because of the violence. The first time I watched this film I was glued to my seat because I was so amazed how Bruce Lee fought all of the people in the ...

...made nowadays. However this gives Enter the Dragon an added sense of realism and the fight choreography, which was staged by Bruce Lee himself, is very impressive. The overall pace of the film is quite fast, with a fight scene occurring almost every 10 minutes. The Hong Kong locations used in the film are colourful and this combined with the memorable theme music help to make Enter the Dragon a classic martial arts film.
Undoubtedely, it is true ...
