As a documentary of Bruce Lee's life, this movie probably rates no higher than a C (just take a look at the "goofs" list), but as a testament to Bruce Lee's charisma and will to succeed, it's a solid A. The filmmakers and Bruce's widow, Linda Lee Caldwell, clearly want to portray him in a positive light, but even if you look past the hokier fictional scenes, there's still a remarkable life to witness. Disadvantages: The fighting scenes were a bit staged.

Good film, but it was a bit naff when they went into the fighting scenes. They were okay, but seemed a bit staged. It was interesting to watch the story of Bruce Lee as everybody has heard of him and you get a picture of what he was like. You also get a general idea about what happened to him, although it does not actually say. You tend to make your own opinions in that respect. Disadvantages: Unrealistic Biopic of Bruce Lee

I found this film disappointing - but I was probably expecting too much being a fan of Bruce Lee. In the "making of" extra on this disc, you are told that rather than get a martial artist who can act, it is better to get an actor, who can act his martial arts. For example, De Niro in Raging Bull was an actor portraying a boxer, rather than a boxer trying to act. Well, it does not work here. Jason Scott Lee is no De Niro. He has a fantastic physique ... If you're a Martial Arts or Bruce Lee fan you will love this movie it tells the tale of bruce and his life there lots of info in it that even the most interested fan would not be aware of. It tells the tale fromhis family roots , the family "curse" his move to America how he coped at university and how his life panned out. Jason scott lee (no relation) is superb in the title rold and should have gone on to much better things sadly he didnt an even though this film is a few years old, its well worth buying just for the gym scene alone, funny and touching, a great film. ...
