...and i remembered hearing that drag me to hell was supposed to be good. I have never been a fan of horror films because they scare the life out of me. I know that is the general idea but i don't like it. I had seen 17 again which stars Zac Effron from the High School Musical films prior to watching this. Although that was great i wanted to see something totally out of the ordinary, something different, basically something the complete opposite of ... ...my opinion unbelievably crap. With Drag me to hell i didn't flinch and neither did anyone else everyone in the cinema remained there until the film was over and on the way out everyone was talking to the people they were with and saying how great it was. This was an unlikely choice of film for me to watch especially when it came to paying for a cinema ticket but i am very glad that i did. This was a memorable film and i would give it one hundred ...

Advantages: It's Sam Raimi doing horror. Of course it will be brilliant! Disadvantages: Where in the blue hell is Bruce Campbell's cameo?
DRAG ME TO HELL You have to feel sorry for the simple goofs that brought into the super hype surrounding the advertising remit of Drag Me To Hell. With 'scariest film of the decade' and 'from the director of Spiderman' drilled into their tiny little brains, it's no wonder they were somewhat disappointed with the actual content of the film. However, for the more savvy audiences out their, those who could read between the lines and link the two advertising ... ...the frights begin. If anything, Drag Me To Hell is certainly a film that will have your nerves jangling in the lead up to these core moments, although its never outright terrifying. Of course, when these moments do happen it's with a stream of refreshing imagery and kinetic visuals that explode on screen. Unsurprisingly, with Raimi being an old hand at this, it works incredibly well delivering chuckles, gasps and shocks in equal measure. Christine's ...

==Reasons Why I Watched This Film? ==
IMDb.com has an overall rating of 8.2/10 for this film. Empire Magazine gave this film 4 star out of 5. Every review I read said this was the best horror to be on the big screen since Saw. Justin Long is hot. ==My Experience==
With reasons like that, I was really looking forward to watching this film, ‘The Best Horror since Saw’, I am not too good with horrors but considering the other choice ... ...a demon will come and drag her to hell. She turns to a seer to find a way to survive this evil curse. ==Is it the Best Horror since Saw? ==
Damn NO. Christine played by Alison Lohman is terrible in the film; her acting ability makes the film even worse. After she gets cursed, she gets all types of bad things happening to her, one of the main things that happens is the old woman (with no teeth) starts knowing on her chin, literally slobber everywhere, ...

My girlfriend is a fiend for the horror films of Sam Raimi. I reckon they’re pretty good too. The Evil Dead trilogy is a knockabout series of films that look cheap and overly gory, but still have a fair share of hiding round the sofa moments. It is the servings of comedy that make his movies stand out. During moments of buttock clenching terror Raimi is a ... ...My Verdict:
I enjoyed Drag Me to Hell very much. Correction: I got scared senseless by this movie. After 100 minutes of shocks, you cannot help but feeling wrung out after watching this movie. I’m not entirely sure how effective the transfer to the small screen would be, but Raimi’s latest offering lends itself wonderfully to the cinema. His constant recourse to short bursts of demonic hell on the ears are predictable, but when the audio setup rattles ...

Advantages: Well scripted, good acting, Alison Lohman! Disadvantages: The sheer volume of grossness in some parts
Lets just start by saying that I am not into jumpy and scary films at all but looking at the trailers I thought it looked pretty harmless and a few jumpy parts were no problem - it makes the wife happy - I have seen one of these films with her, keeps her quiet and I am in the good books for at least one night .......... How wrong was I about this film. It starts off with a young boy being taken to an idyllic house and his parents claiming he has ... ...women inside claims she can help. Well let's just say it doesn't work out as planned and we get the first viewing of the Lamia who will play a very big part in this film. This is followed by the first look at our main character Christine Brown, played by Alison Lohman, a bank worker very eager to make her way up the ladder and is at present trying for the assistant manager position. She is up against newcomer in the company Stu Rubin, played by Reggie ...

Advantages: Erm... you might and probably will like it? Disadvantages: I didn't!
I only gave this movie a rating of 'satisfactory' because I felt it was quite funny in places, whether or not intentionally and it certainly stirred me to be annoyed enough that I should watch it all the way through and then go on the internet to vent about it. Job done in that respect. Ok, firstly, what type of movie is this? I seriously don't get it. That's all I can say. The main character (Alison Lohman) appears to be on the verge of one hilarious ... ...outwardly pleasant exterior. Now, for someone supposedly tormented by a demon, continually walking around with a half smile on her face and looking as if she's about to crack up simply makes me wonder if this is not some comedy, part of an Evil Dead inside joke I just don't get. Either that, or the acting is bad. However, I feel it is something else, as if the acting is purposely bad. Either way, I can't pretend I know what they were trying to achieve. ...

...are boring and predictable. However, Drag me to hell was original, funky and fresh, it had a great plot, which was unusual to the norm film currently in the market, and it had that suspense factor. The cast is relatively unknown; however don’t let that deter you from watching the film, as its well worth a watch. Plot:
The film starts of in the past, the year is 1969 and we are in Mexico. A young couple along with their small son, run into a house ... ...into it, as if the drag him literally underground, (into hell).
Fast forward four years later and we are now in LA Christine Brown (Alison Lohman), who works in a bank, looks to be promoted to a senior position currently being offered by her boss. However, with stiff competition from a new member of staff, her boss urges her to be tougher on certain clients, to get back debt owed and be meaner. Christine is at first reluctant to do this, however ...

Advantages: Scary and jumpy, great story and ending Disadvantages: So many gross things - disgusting!
...wrong in thinking this as Drag Me to Hell was in fact a very scary and very jumpy film which had me cowering in my seat throughout most of it. The cast were all actually very good, despite the main actor, Alison Lohman, and several others not being well-known actors. Lorna Raver played Mrs Ganush brilliantly and was the perfect scary old hag who made you jump in fright every time she came on the screen. The actual storyline was a good one, although ... ...hundreds of times in scary movies. But this one was done very well with no silly little ugly thing or monster as the demon but just a shadow which made it even scarier as you couldn't always see when it was coming. The film also has a very good ending which you don't really expect coming, differing to so many other scary films, which made it even better in my opinion. The one thing I didn't like about the film was the huge amount of grossness in ...

...will come for her and drag her to hell… When I saw the previews of this film I thought it looked like a really scary film and was something that pricked my interest enough to go and see it at the cinema with some equally eager friends. The only experience of director Sam Raimi’s films I’ve had is the excellent Spider Man trilogy although I did know that he was already renowned for his horror films, this is also why I was so interested in seeing this ... ...progresses the film begins to drag and her character becomes less and less scary by the minute. I’d say that the first 50 minutes of the film is very entertaining, this film only lasts a few minutes over an hour and a half so when it begins to drag after 50 minutes you don’t have too long to wait until it end which I managed to find some sort of solace in but I was still disappointed as from the outset this film looked very good. Drag Me To Hell is a horror/thriller released in 2009 directed by Sam Raimi (Evil Dead series, Spiderman series) and starring Alison Lohman, Justin Long and Lorna Raver. It tells the story of Christine Brown (Lohman) a nicey nice Bank Loan Officer who walks into trouble (or rather it walks into her) when she upsets a scary gypsy woman begging a third extension on her mortgage. An obvious dig at society, Raimi should already be tickling your ribs. ... ...his advantage. For this reason Drag Me To Hell is lesser a horror movie than rather a black comedy. Talking cursing goats and ridiculously OTT nosebleeds out of the way, Raimi sketches his characters perfectly. If you are not rooting for Christine by the third act of Drag Me To Hell then you really must be hard heartened. Drag Me To Hell... perhaps not the most inviting title to any movie, as could be seen when the trailer boomed over the private ...

...week I saw the movie Drag Me To Hell at my local cinema. Being a huge horror movie buff, I was a bit skeptical about rather this flick would be any good or not. I had been disappointed many times in the past year by low quality horror films and had almost lost my faith entirely in it. This movie made me a believer again. Not only was it very well written, but the effects were also amazing. I was on the edge of my seat the whole entire time. I have ... ...bit of dark comedy to Drag Me To Hell. I don't scare very easily when it comes to films but this one made me jump quite a few times. The movie's plot is a bout an evil spirit demon that is summoned as a curse. If that isn't freaky enough I don't know what is. I don't really want to give too much away. You will have to see it for yourself. ...

Now after all the hype surrounding this films release at the cinema I was sooo excited! A good horror with great reviews, I couldn't wat to go and see it.
