Advantages: Some great actors, good action scenes Disadvantages: The story, all flash and style without content
Domino is the latest film from Tony Scott, brother of Ridley, a man whose career has been almost as star studded as his brothers but has never quite hit the same critical acclaim. Not to say he doesn't make good films, he does, or maybe that should be he did. Top Gun and Last Boy Scout are great films but they are long in the past now and he has now seemingly decided to concentrate on star studded action films full of inventive, stylish touches that ...

Advantages: Knightly is great, fun from start to finish. Disadvantages: Could have been more thoughtful than it is, and more effective as a result.
...captions. It just didn't work. DOMINO is Scott taking it to the next level, not only are the violent scenes depicted in an even more hallucinogenic light, but the whole film is filled with that said stylisation. The difference between the films though is that in DOMINO's case this actually works in its favour…
A big reason it works so well here is the way the story is told. Based very loosely on the true tale of bounty hunter Domino Harvey who ...

Samuel Hadida presents A Tony Scott Film
This film is meant to be loosely based on the life of Domino Harvey. However the only similarities there are that can be mentioned is the upbringing and job of the character.
The character Domino Harvey played by Kiera Knightley (Pirates Of The Caribbean / Bend It Like Beckham) is a girl who is from a well of background. She is english with an actor dad who died when she was young. This led ...

...days - 'My name is Domino Harvey and I am a bounty hunter'. This was enough to put me off the film. That was until I read an article about the real Domino Harvey and realised that if the film was anything like her actual life it may be worth a look.
Domino Harvey was (according to the film) a rich girl gone bad. Her father was an actor before he died and her mum was a model, more interested in her social life than paying much attention to Domino. ...

...real life of Bounty Hunter Domino Harvey, played pretty well by the lovely Keira Knightley. Most of the film is shot in the very Tarentino style of flashback as Domino is questioned by an FBI agent played by the woefully under used Lucy Liu. The film follows the life of Domino from childhood to her arrest and whoever made this film had definitely seen FAR too many Tarentino films for their own good.
The film is a the story of 3 bounty hunters who ...

...her films outbefore passing comment. Domino was my film of choice, and guess what - it's still the silly rich girl trying to do grown up boys things - this time she plays the part of bounty hunter Domino Harvey who before her death commented that she was unhappy with her portrayal in the film and I'm not surprised at all.
Knightley plays an unconcvincing rich girl turned punk who is good with num chucks, her phrases are dull and the scenarios are ...

..."career" as a model.
But Domino was a rebel, she wanted something more from life. The girl found out what she was looking for: she became a "bounty killer": she met her collegues in a rather odd way, then started her job: haunting criminals.
Domino became the core of the "team"; they organized projects, untill her mother got in touch with a television producer: they wanted Domino and her buddies to shoot a "reality show".
Soon the situation starts ...

...to the story.
The film follows Domino (played by Keira Knightley) from childhood to retirement as a bounty hunter and shows how her work collegues become her family-as the only people she can trust. I was surprised Knightley managed to play the daring, dangerous Domino so well, a role I wouldn't have labelled her as being able to do, but credit to her.
If you like action films and a good plot, then don't miss out on this film ...

...Knightly.
It is a story of Domino Harvey, the model turned bounty hunter, daughter of Lawrence Harvey, British actor.
Domino is played by Kiera Knightly who is very harsh and firey in this film.
The film starts with Domino talking to an FBI agent (Lucy Lui), presumably she has been arrested for something but at this time we do not know what. Domino goes on to tell her story, how she was a bit of tom-boy and how her mother left her at a boarding ...

...based upon the life of Domino Harvey, the english born model turned all american bounty hunter.
As a peron and a character, she is flawed, but you love her all the same. Her bording school manners have long been forgotten in this full throtle film.
If you like Knightley, this will be a surprise, though her 'method' of acting I find the same. Not that I could see Elizabeth Bennet replacing Domino.
Also, its one of those films, in which you ...
