...to have two rooms. The Doctor arrives in time to be forced to retrieve an amulet from 19th Century Scotland, while trusty and busty assistant Peri is tied to a stick and menaced by the Morlox (sounds painful). Oh, and the Bandrils on the planet next door are preparing to start a war for some food supplies.

The money had run out. Whether it was the foreign filming for _The Two Doctors_, or the lavish sets and ... ...cheap cottage set, and the Doctor picks up a writer interested in time machines and science called Herbert. Guess who he turns out to be?
The one ray of light in the entire production is the Borad's prosthetic make-up, which is the sort of deformed villain that _Doctor Who_ does so well, in the tradition of Sharaz Jek, Magnus Greel and the Master.
The director of this story is Pennant Roberts, a chap who you might call a 'stalwart' of British TV ...

Advantages: Peri, Peri, Peri and Peri! Disadvantages: Crap monsters and disjointed story.
TIMELASH, as a Doctor Who story, does not compare favourably to many other stories of the Baker era. As is admitted in the documentary on the dvd, called 'The good, the bad and the ugly', this was down to the end budgets and the looming 18 month break.
if you regularly watch the old Dr Who stories on DVD, this is a bit ropey. The story is a bit disjointed, telling of a planet Karfel, previously visited by the 3rd Doctor, having a Time Tunnel, that ... ...The Doctor is sent to Earth to return an amulet, integral to the running of the planet, or Peri dies, etc! The he meets a young writer by the name of Herbert, who stowsaway and returns to Karfel with the Dr. It doesn't take long to sus the real identity of Herbert, as there is a Time Tunnel and an impending War of the Worlds.
But, the beauty of these Dr Who dvd's is mainly the extras. The documentary is interesting, as it enhances the story. The ...

Advantages: The plot is decent and up to standard. Disadvantages: The acting is poor with bits of the story just not making sense...
...not one of the best Doctor Who stories as the acting and storyline became very poor to many people who have watched this. Colin Baker and Nicola Bryant star in this adventure with the superb sixth doctor. They land on a planet that the third doctor Jon Pertwee has previously visited before. Some Doctor Who stories get watched again, again and again and you never get tired of it but you'll find out that this story is kind of weak in Doctor Who History. ... ...watchable. I have been a Doctor Who fan foir many years and like other fans, I have to say that this story could have been much better. But of course when this story was made Doctor Who was going through a bad time as it was nearly pulled up the screen but it remained until 1989 of course. Trust me, you'll like it but if you are not a big fan of Colin Baker and you are not a Doctor Who fan I reccommend that don't buy this!
It has a decent documentary ...
