Advantages: Jamie, good plot, great acting, excellent characters Disadvantages: None

When he is about to die, he regenerates, which essentially means that the BBC hire a new actor to play the role. That may sound like a bit of a cheat, but it's come to work extremely well for them. The Two Doctors is a story involving the meeting of two different regenerations of the Doctor. There had been previous team ups, The Three Doctors ...

Advantages: Colin Baker at his best Disadvantages: the special features disk
...is the two disk DVD Doctor Who story "The Two Doctors"
As the series had success with The Three Doctors in 1972/3 and The Five Doctors in 1983 for special anniversary editions they decided these were very good storylines but due to the actors not all of them could appear all the time.

Patrick was always up ... ...of Colin Baker as the Doctor and Nicola Bryant as Peri they were joined by Patrick and Frazer Hines who played Jamie from Patricks time as the doctor 1966-69.
Also apperaring in the cast was Jacqueline Pearce who you may remember as "Servalan" in Blakes 7
This was not an anniversary show but a story that was in my opinion one of the best of the Colin Baker years 1984-86.
Colin had the shortest time reigning as the Doctor (only eight stories) and ...

Advantages: Serial has some funny and memorable moments Disadvantages: As a whole, the story is a little weak and overlong
...between Shockeye and the second Doctor are hilarious, and the two sontarans get some funny scenes). The story goes along at a leisurely pace, which is similar to other Robert Holmes stories like the Space Pirates,
but it could have been condensed into the average 90 minute
run. The characterisation is the best thing here. All the characters have unique personalities, and the actors do a great job of portraying them onscreen. The main element of ... ...is an original theme in Doctor Who and the writer has explored this to a good extent. There are other issues raised which might not seem so obvious.
As an whole, the storyline could have been structured better, but it's the individual moments which stand out. It's good to see the second Doctor and the Sontarans for the last time in the series.
Recommended to fans because there is lots of extra features which give interesting insight into the making ...
