...fan of the Christopher Eccleston Doctor Who series, prefering David Tennant, but the box set was bought for me for my 18th birthday and I started watching them. I began to appreciate more the relationship of the Doctor and Rose now I had known their beginnings. ...was the first series of Doctor Who that I got into, as I didn't see any of the others, and now because of these, I now have a very high knowledge of the series. All the way through watching these DVDs, I was hooked - so hooked, in fact, that I watched 11 out of the 13 episodes in one night. ...the latest installment of the Doctor Who franchise, I'd say you would really have to start with this one. Russell T. Davies has re-envisioned the series for a new century and it shows. Mostly gone are the episodic cliff-hanger endings (save a few two-parters), but in their place are self-contained stories that aim to dazzle adults as well as children.
