Advantages: The best series ending of all time Disadvantages: The arrival of more long term stories
...wrap up series 3 of Doctor Who’s reviews; and impressed as I was with the third volume of releases this forth volume blew me away.
For the first time in the series the 3 stories actually run very much as if they are all one, in stead of the usual two parter’s Utopia, The Sound Of Drums, and The Last Of The Timelords become a three part “Epic”.
Utopia
Having hitched his way on the side of the Tardis the Doctor, Martha, AND NOW Captain Jack arrive ... ...Torchwood) as he and the Doctor strive to ensure that the humans get to Utopia. All the time leaving Martha to unwittingly cause someone from the Doctor’s past to return; memories can be a terrible thing especially when the only key to your past is a watch.
In Utopia rather like the episode 42, you have 38 minutes building up to an event. This incredibly well crafted story is a build up, to the shows final five minutes. The result of this makes ...

Advantages: Unique, great to see Jack back! Challenging! Disadvantages: Bit disappointing ending
...very long time, isn't it?! Doctor Who has been around for over four decades now, and it is stronger than ever now! The show was first welcomed to BBC Television in 1963, with William Hartnell playing the Doctor! But more recently, we have enjoyed the adventures of this TimeLord, alongside some fresh, new companions! In 2005, Doctor Who was brought back to our screens, introducing us to the 9th Doctor, Chris Eccleston! He starred alongside Billie ... ...Doctor regenerated, revealing 10th Doctor David Tennant to star in Series 2! He worked alongside Billie until it was time for Series 3...where we are now! Our latest Doctor remained in the clasp of Tennant, but we were introduced to new companion Martha Jones, played by the wonderful Freema Agyeman!

The last DVD in the Series 3 collection is quite different! All three episodes are connected, which is quite unusual as, until now, Doctor Who ...

Advantages: Great storylines in a 3 parter Disadvantages: Disappointing ending
...installment of series 3 of Doctor Who does something we haven't seen before: it gives us a 3 part episode. This having been said, it is also the end of season finale, and as such it is going to be hard to review this disc without giving some of the plot away. So, if you are planning on watching this, be warned I may give away a little. It's necessary, I'm afraid.
Up until now in the third series, we have seen a mix of episodes in terms of quality. ... ...three is Utopia, with the Doctor and Martha being transported forward in time by the Tardis to the end of the universe, the year something trillion, something unimaginable to us. Upon landing, they find they have a stowaway - Captain Jack Harkness of Torchwood, who has been searching for the Doctor ever since they parted company way back at the end of Series 1, when Christopher Eccleston was still the Doctor. Jack pauses briefly to flirt with Martha ...

Advantages: Excellent pace, acting, directing, music. Will keep you on the edge of your seat. Disadvantages: A couple of cheesy alien side-kicks, and a slightly unbelievable future.
The Doctor Who season 3 finale is definitely one to watch. Combining an excellent story along with brilliant acting, directing and music, too make it a thrilling 2 hours of entertainment. This is the first 3-part storyline since Doctor Who was brought back in 2005 and consists of the episodes 'Utopia', 'The Sound of Drums', and 'Last of the Time Lords'. Often Doctor Who episodes can be a little childish and cheesy, but for these 3 the series becomes ... ...tracks down and rejoins the doctor when he lands the Tardis in Cardiff to refuel. They accidentally wind up in the year 100 trillion and find a professor trying to build a spaceship to take the remains of the human race to a place called Utopia. All is not as it seems though when Martha discovers a fob watch identical to the John Smiths timepiece in earlier episode 'Human Nature' which contained the Doctor's Timelord essence. As the true meaning ...
