Remember you're a Dalek.

Advantages: Great quality Special Features. Excellent story.
Disadvantages: None that I can think of.

...in 1963 and the first Doctor is forced to leave Earth, after two teachers from his granddaughter Susan’s school discover the TARDIS, disguised as a police box, sitting in a junkyard at Totter’s Yard. It is now 25 years later and the seventh Doctor returns – with a brand new companion, Ace, in tow and with business that he must complete. Not for the first time unusual things are happening at Coal Hill School and at Totter’s Lane junkyard. The Doctor ...
...after the technology that the Doctor left behind on Earth. Timelord technology, a Stella manipulator known as the Hand of Omega, which would be dangerous in the wrong hands! The Daleks are planning to use this technology to complete their own Time-Travel experiments, in order to wreak havoc around the universe. Can the Doctor, Ace and the British Army stop them from stealing the Gallifreyan secrets? Or, as usual, will things not go according to plan? ...

Density of the Daleks

Advantages: A real Pertwee-era type riot
Disadvantages: Ace

...nice surprise to find the Doctor and Ace landing on Earth, in 1963, right outside of Coal Hill School, where it all began so many years ago. That the school bears no resemblance to the one of 'An Unearthly Child' is a minor quibble. The Doctor soon encounters a black van sporting an antennae, and with his curiousity engaged, he investigates. Inside is Professor Rachel Jensen (Pamel Salem, who also appears in Baker DVD release The Robots of Death) ...
...that counts. Here the Doctor meets the army whose Group Captain Gilmore (Simon Williams of Upstairs, Downstairs fame) informs him they have a hostile target pinned down. Cue the first glimpse of a dalek, admittedly it kind of wobbled out of the darkness, but the hairs on my arms still went up. The Dalek doesn't take kindly to being cornered by the army and picks them off with some impressive use of special effects. Up Yours A-Team. With the Doctors ...

Always Judge a Man By the Quality of His Enemies

Advantages: Intelligent return of the series' most popular villains.
Disadvantages: Weak moments in the final part, contrived cliffhangers.

...the long-running feud between the Doctor and the mutated killing machines to a conclusive finale, just in time for the show's sudden cancellation a year later. The most iconic villains of Doctor Who, the Daleks first appeared as early as the second serial in 1963, although this twenty-fifth anniversary special (of sorts) opts instead to revisit the location of the very first episode ever produced, 'An Unearthly Child.' As an unofficial anniversary ...
...that information. As a late Doctor Who episode, when the series was in a state of creative and popular decline, 'Remembrance of the Daleks' is actually a surprisingly enjoyable story, especially for managing to pull off yet another Dalek plot and make it interesting. The pepper-pot menace was effectively re-introduced in the classic Tom Baker-era story 'Genesis of the Daleks,' complete with less than subtle Nazi overtones and an ugly, maniacal leader ...

...seven or eight when this doctor who story was first aired on TV and SILVESTER McCOY to me was the up to date doctor at the time and he was very true to the 80's feel of things even tho looking back on it in the year 2006 what were those wool jumpers all about in the 80s did granny go mad and get a truck load of wool for Xmas. This dalek story was the only story I actually remember watching on TV from SILVESTER McCOY tho as my parents at this time ...
