Out of five stars, Dr. No gets four. A great Bond film that probably wouldn't have stood alone, but was a great introduction for the subsequents. It introduces James Bond to the big screen - a secret agent so refined in marksmanship, bravery, duty, seduction, and especially gentlemanlike conduct. The scene in Dr. No's dining room encompasses the better qualities of Bond - he civilly eats a meal with the title villain while conversing about world ...
...At a point where Bond could escape by simply breaking a particularly appealing bottle of wine, he chooses to save the wine rather than himself.
