Advantages: Terrific tension built up throughout the film, excellent performances all round. Disadvantages: Slow to get going, build up is gradual and this may put some viewers off.
Very rarely does a film emerge that truly scares me. 'Disturbia' is one such example of a film that does however and is one that I would wholeheartedly recommend to everybody out there with even the slightest interest in the horror genre. The film has a greatly powerful beginning, an opening sequence that grabs you straight away and never during the 104 minute run time of this film does it ever let you go. It's a punchy thrill ride of a film and ... ...cast in the leading role.
The thing about this film is that it's not instantly scary and this may well be something that could put a lot of people off. What the director does do here however is that throughout the duration of this film great suspense is built, something that leads to an intense and truly frightening finish. Before watching Disturbia I was expecting an average thriller that I'd enjoy watching if there wasn't much else on TV. However, it turned out to a great little film that I could have easily overlooked. With so many films being released it's sometimes hard to decide which ones are going to be worth watching and which ones aren't; this one most definitely is. When Kale a teenage boy is put under house arrest ... ...weird goings on next door. As time goes by he becomes aware that the man living next door to him may well be a serial killer. However, amidst all this a young girl moves in next door, sparking another lighter side to the film (being somewhat of a romantic comedy). The acting is great and the film was very fun to watch. Although the story may not sound the most inventive or original it still proves to be a good film through the acting and directing. ...

Advantages: very good film, well paced Disadvantages: none go see it
Shia lebeof gives an excellent performance as a troubled teenager in this romantic comedy/ horror/ thriller. The films main charecter is Cale played (Labeouf). the film starts off with a car crash when Cale loses his dad. In his Spannish class the teacher makes a comment about Cales dad, which makes Cale retaliate and hit the teacher. He goes to court and as it his third offence he is sentenced to be tagged for three months 24 hours a day. After ... ...live subscription and apple music contarct, Cale starts to spy on the neighbours. He gets in his head that the man across the road is a killer, and a new girl moves in next door and helps him. The film is very funny for the first half, then just turns into a supsense thriller. There are a few good jumps in the film and the story is excellent. I would reccomend seeing it. ...

i was very disapointed by this movie. i watched trailers about this movie and it looked very good and seemed like it was full of action,thrills and inteserty. but when watched this it was none of the above insted it was dull,boring and to burtuly honest i could not wait for it to end. so i have rated this movie poor and it is not a movie worth buying . ...
