Good mix between a Teen Romantic Comedy and a Teen Horror. Shia LaBeouf is an excellent actor and definately made the movie a better watch. It had a Brilliant start to the movie - With Kale (Shia) and his dad spending time together then on the way home involved in a car crash. Actually gave me a bit of a shock and really caught my attention and drew me into the film. It then goes forward to one year later, and shows how seeing his Father die has ...
...and has a bit of an attitude problem. Then the teacher makes the mistake of mentioning his Father and gets himself a punch for it. Which isn't good for Kale as its his third strike. Rather than getting sent to Juvie the Judge puts him under house arrest for 30 days. Disturbia is a thriller packed full of tension. It starts off a bit slow but when Kale (the guy in Transformers) get's put on house arrest. It has some quite funny moments as he spys on his neighbours, whilst he is bored out of his mind. Then "the girl next door" moves in, which fills the movie with a bit of teen romance. After a couple of days Kale and his mates start to notice some strange things in his neighbourhood that need investigating - ...
...the edge of my seat from that point onwards and I am sure it will have the same effect on you too! There are some funny moments randomly scattered throughout the movie, which do not go unmissed. This is a really great watch and the DVD comes packed with special features such as The Making, Deleted scenes, a Quiz and a Photo gallery. I think this is definately more suited to teenagers but I think the majority of people will feel it is money and time ...

Disturbia was one of those films that you saw the trailer to, and you just had to see it! This film did not fail to impress me, such a gripping storyline with comedy elements throughout. Shia LaBeouf makes the films along with his co-teenage actors whom discover that their quiet suburban street is not all what it seems. This is what a teen summer is about, a stakeout with your mates, watching the girl next door, discovering a serial killer! well maybe not the last part, but all in all this film is THE ONE to watch! ...
