"Die Hard" was released as a very un-traditional Christmas film in 1988 but I didn't see it until 1997. It is rather a lot more than a typical action film. Before today, I had only seen bits of this film, but now I have seen it all, and like other peoples ratings suggest, it is one of the best action thrillers ever. Originally director John McTiernan was reluctant to show Bruce Willis face on the poster for ‘Die Hard’ in fear that it might scare away potential movie goers. This is a great action movie. When you think of Bruce stuck in a skyscraper fighting for his life and for that of a lot of hostages you think great but what you get is even better than that. There is some incredible action and stunts in this movie and the acting isn't half bad either.
