Advantages: Robert patrick rules Disadvantages: more of the same
Every great trilogy of films needs one turkey and here it is in all its glory, it was directed by Renny Harlin who took over from John McTiernan, for just one film and God I wish he had left it alone. The flawless formula for ‘Die Hard’ films was murdered by Renny Harlin who insisted on destroying what could have been a successful film. It has all the ingredients, Bruce Willis, explosions and annoying one liners so why does it fall on ... ...in the past we have had gifted actors who are now replaced for a silly gloating evil colonel who doesn’t say much and just grins inanely. The plot of ‘Die Hard 2’ is simple enough, a group of terrorists set up a base near the airport and take over the communication system, leaving the tower unable to talk to its planes. The stricken airport is unable to do anything except wait until John McClane arrives and takes control. Enlisting ...

Advantages: Bruce Willis reprising his role as McClane, and another happy ending Disadvantages: Superfluous characters.
Die Hard 2 sees John McClane waiting in an airport for his wife's plane to land. It's Christmas again, and once again McClane is drawn into a terrorist plot, and has to save the day. The plot is a bit thin at times in this, the second of the three Die Hard films, and it seems that a few of the characters in the film only serve as padding - it would have been just as good if some of the more minor characters had been removed. Saying that, the special ...

Advantages: Good acting and some funny lines Disadvantages: Quite gruesome in places
This second "Die Hard" film was directed by Renny Harlin and he decided to take this film into a decidedly more violent direction than the first.
It's Christmas (again) and John McClane is stuck in a dangerous situation with terrorists(again) and he's up against authority (again) and there are some deaths, explosions and witty one-liners (again). Bruce Willis is good in this film as is Bill Sadler (Colonel Stuart). Bonnie Bedelia is also good as ... ...creep, Dick Thornberg Reginald. Hey, it's the same film as the first one!
Well, not quite. As I said earlier, the film is quite violent and the action sequences are more and more unbelievable in some respects - would John really survive everything his body is put through? In this respect, he's a much more conventional action hero. Sure he bleeds but it doesn't have the "ugh" factor of the first film, where his cuts look painful and realistic. Some ...

Advantages: Great action film. Disadvantages: None.
How can this poor New York cop always seem to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. In this sequel John McClane (Bruce Willis) finds himself in the middle of a terrorist plot to free a Middle East terrorist leader at the Washington DC airport where he is waiting to meet his wife Holly who is on an incoming flight. The film is full of a fantastic number of special effects and is action packed throughout the whole film. McClane is of course the ... ...covered in blood, but still turns out to be the good guy who makes everything right in the end. The endurance of this one guy is of course far reached, but then this is not a film to be taken too seriously. Amongst all the mayhem and killing there are some very funny lines that remind you that this is just a film and it is made for entertainment. The film has been produced and directed extremely well and the stunts and special effects are very realistic ...

Advantages: A brillant film, good acting.... Disadvantages: none.........
This movie Die Harder is the next one in the wonderful die hard trilogy. This movie is another like all the other that you can watch millions of times and never get sick of it. In Die Harder Bruce Willus goes to the airport to wait for his wife to arrive when he notices that there is some suspicous men going into the luggage room so he takes it upon himself to go and check it out. He makes a scene kills one man then later on they realize that someone ... ...and crashes there planes unless the demands are met of releasing a general. Bruce goes out to get his wife home safely. This is a great movie to watch on the weekend by yourself or with a group of friends. In this movie the question is, is it a double cross or a triple cross. This movie I think was a very good movie. I wouldn't mind watching it right now. The movie is now out on vhs and dvd. This is a good film for adults, can be abit bloody at times ...

This movie is pretty sweet. It is all action with no annoying sideplots to slow it down. The stunts and special effects can't be missed. It ain't as good as the first one (due to its copycat nature, from the dialogue to the excessive violence) and it pretty much has a low believability factor (how many bullets does McClane have in each of his clips?). But what makes it great is the personalities of all the characters involved (Dennis Franz is hilarious), ...

Advantages: Action and Bruce Willis Disadvantages: none
The film Die Hard 2 sees Bruce Willis reprise his role as John McClane as he once again tackles a terrorist threat in this 1990 film directed by Renny Harlin.
Die Hard 2 is set at Christmas time and John McClane has arrived at Washington's Dulles Airport to pick up his wife Holly (Bonnie Bedelia), whose flight is due to land. However he soon discovers a plot by terrorists led by Col. Stuart (William Sadler) to seize control of the airports traffic ... ...great sequel to the excellent Die Hard film. It has an exciting story with some stunning action scenes and special effects. It may be inappropriate to watch before flying on a plane due to the nature of the story and one specific scene with a plane. Bruce Willis is brilliant as the one man army who will never give up. I am a fan of William Sadler and think he does well in this film. Fans of Die Hard will love this film. ...

Advantages: More bombs, more explosions. Disadvantages: More is less, disappointing bad guy.
...course, are the reasons why Die Hard 2 doesn't hold a candle to the original.
John McClane (Willis) is waiting at Dulles International Airport in Washington for his wife's (Bedelia) plane to arrive. Unbeknown to him and the thousands in the airport the facility is about to be closed down by an ex U.S. Colonel (Sadler) and his hand picked team leaving Mrs McClane's plane circling the airport, running out of fuel. Of course, McClane notices something ... ...then it's good. While this may have been the idea in 1990 it is now outdated and outmoded.
Compared to Die Hard it is the illegitimate nephew that should be kept in an asylum. The only reason to watch it is to compare it with the original and wince. ...

...but in the case of Die Hard 2 they couldn't be more wrong. Bruce Willis again gets caught up in more sinister terrorist plans, this time he is stuck in an airport where he was meant to be meeting his wife's plane, but her plane like all the others is circling the airport unable to land due to the terrorsit takeover.
They have to find the terrorists and get the planes down.
Another great movie and just as action packed as the original Die Hard. ...

Well quite soon on the heels of the first movie the sequel was released. It focuses on EXACTLY the same situation as the first except in an airport, where the baddies can cause havoc by getting planes to crash (as they've taken over the controller part)! One of the planes of course has Bruceys wife onboard so he has a vested interest to help out.....
This wasn't a bad film, it just didn't grab you very much. It is quite a typical sequel, not living ...

Willis is back again as Mclane and once again Christmas is not going as smoothly as he would want it. This time he is in New York waiting for his wife to visit him.
Instead of a large skyscraper this time a group of Bad Guys have taken over New York’s Main Airport to rescue a corrupt leader. Mclane not only has to stop them but also stop his wife’s plane from meeting the same fate as Windsor Airlines. With a few good twists and a neat, if impossible, ...
