Greg Heffley thinks middle school is the worst idea ever. According to him “You’ve got kids like me that haven’t hit their growth spurt yet thrown in with gorillas who have to shave twice a day.” His horrid elder brother Rodrick tells him he’ll be dead or home-schooled by the end of the year, but his best friend Rowley always looks on the bright side. But as his embarrassment about his friends and family grows and he becomes evermore determined to be popular, middle school becomes all about survival… “Hotel for Dogs” director Thor Freudenthal returns with a bright and breezy family film that ... more

THE STORY Greg Heffley has just finished middle school and prepares to take on high school with his best friend Rowley. However the transition is not as easy as Greg thinks as he has to deal with new bullies (who make their victims eat off the floor), teachers and girls. Disadvantages Disadvantages Quite long for a family film.

I usually find that films cast with all children don't feature such great acting, but the young stars in this are just excellent at creating the funniest characters. Audiences young and old can connect and sympathise with Greg and ... more

I bought this film not knowing if it was any good and I really wanted it to be because I loved the book and I have to say I am not at all disappointed at all !!! The story is a little differemt to the books but mostly the same and they added new events and made changes and in my opinion they were well done and added to the enjoyment of the film for me. The actor in the film are brilliant and they really add to the enjoyment and make the story and the plot come alive. In the film Greg has just started middle school and thinks that it is the ... more
