Advantages: Well-paced thriller Disadvantages: Some will find the twist a bit too obvious
Charles Schine is a married executive with a sick daughter. Although he is superficially content with his lot, temptation strikes in the form of Lucinda Harris, a beautiful fellow train-goer. One night they go out and end up in a hotel room, but just as they are about to consummate their passion, a criminal called LaRoche breaks into their room and rapes Lucinda while Charles is out cold from a blow to the head. Finding out that the two are having ...

Advantages: Decent Visuals, Some Okayish Performances Disadvantages: Everything Else
...do her stuff.
I suppose that Derailed is a fairly stylish little film - Chicago looks good and the cameras manage to capture the overall feel and intensity of the story with a dark colour palette mainly consisting of cement grey and dark blues and browns. The set pieces range from hyper modern and polished (how Charles got such a highly paid and interesting job I will never know) to dingy and atmospheric (why do people having affairs always choose ...

Advantages: Good Storyline and Pace Disadvantages: Twist Was Never Fully Explained
This slick thriller was marketed as something of a watershed film for two of the stars. Clive Owen, the male lead Charles Schine, is a fast rising star in Hollywood and has had some prominent roles over the past few years (Sin City, Inside Man, King Arthur).
Jennifer Aniston was going through her divorce and her role playing a sexy, more adult role, is a departure from the Rachel Green mould which made her famous - almost like her new beginning ...

Advantages: Good peformance from Clive Owen, not one of his best though Disadvantages: Very predictable, really slow start
Derailed stars Jennifer Aniston as Lucinda Harris and Clive Owen as Charles Schine. The story starts with Charles not being able to afford his fare while on the train and Lucinda paying this for him. This is how they meet and the story develops from there.
I had heard and read mixed reviews about this film so decided to watch it for myself so this is my opinion on the film:
I found the beginning of the film very slow and I was watching the ...

Advantages: Exciting twists and turns that will keep you in suspense! Disadvantages: None!
The first thing I thought when I watched this film was how good Jennifer Aniston was. It was so different from things she normally does (there's no comedy in this film whatsoever! And she's nothing like Rachel her character from Friends). The film also starred Clive Owen and Vincent Cassel who were both excellent.
Clive Owen plays a bored married man (Charlie) who plans on having a one night stand with Lucinda (Aniston) in a run down hotel, however ...

Trying to explain why he hasnt any money ,Jennifer Aniston (Lucinda) speaks up and pays for his ticket. Charles then goes over and starts speaking ...
