Advantages: Unknown but great cast Disadvantages: Not long enough
This is a great film. Enough said really but I Have to go on. This film is a cross between "Jaws" and "The Posiden Adventure". ok your not a beach and there isn't a ship upside down but their are some similarities. 3 intelligent sharks killing people trapped in an underwater science lab. It has a fairly unknown cast but Samuel L. Jackson has a 'gripping' role and Michael Rapaport (try saying that 10 times when fast) is excellent. This film is right ...

Advantages: great pace and special effects Disadvantages: once you know the plot its not much good
Deep Blue Sea is a nineties Jaws, based heavily on excellent special effects (no rubber teeth here!)The plot revolves around a research team who are harvesting proteins within the sharks brains that might lead to a cure for degenerative diseases. However, a side effect of the experiments is that the sharks become ultra smart, and decide to kill the crew and escape to the sea.
The film is a good two hours and moves along at an absolutely cracking ...

Quick review of Deep Blue Sea (Wide Screen) Review ofDeep Blue Sea (Wide Screen)by
kgheen09
I absoutely loved this movie. It was incredible, beginning to end. LL Cool J looks so amazing in this movie. One of the main character dies, which makes this movie so good because it isn't some corny shark tale. This is one of my all-time favorite thrillers. It is worth seeing!

Advantages: Graphics, actors And Sharks Disadvantages: Story Line Could Of Been Better
Well What Can I Say About This Film Giant Sharks Attacking Humans In An Underwater Laboratory Experimenting On Sharks Especially Great White Sharks not a very good idea at all especially when great whites have been killing people a lot in other films haven't any one learnt yet ha-ha.
Finding The Story Line A good one and watched the film hundreds of times I still crack up at the bit where LL Cool J is speaking up to god and was saying stuff like ...

shark attack Review ofDeep Blue Sea (Wide Screen)by
bengar
Advantages: awesome graphics and acting.adictive. Disadvantages: awincy bit shallow and the plots abit odd.
when a scientist(female of corse!) puts a genetic brain cell into 3 sharks, she's lucky she isn't killed on the spot. She puts it in to improve the sharks ability of being a predator.
the three sharks can then brake doors(steel ones!) foot thick glass and create havok that you can't imagine.Eating three people doesn't satisfy a shark and you can't predict what a shark will do next.....(apart from more killing of course!)If the building "aquatica" ...

Jaws wannabe Review ofDeep Blue Sea (Wide Screen)by
robertjake
Advantages: Special effects Disadvantages: plot
This a poor film which is based too heavily on special effects. These are admittedly good, but I don't believe that the quality of the special effects is a sound basis for judging the quality of the film. The plot is weak, and this is the most important aspect, as the following will indicate. The story is about a number of people on a fabricated structure out at sea where sharks are monitored. These of course are the meanest of the mean sharks, and ...

Advantages: Better than Jaws Disadvantages: I've just told you the story
When I went to see this at the cinema, I wasn't sure whether it would be another version of Jaws but as I found out, it's much better!
I very rarely jump during films but I did several times during this outstanding film.
It is about 3 sharks that are being used to try and find a cure for Alzeimers disease. The only problem was, they didn't have a big enough brain to harvist sufficiant amount of the protein complex that was required to find the ...

Jaws or Titanic? Review ofDeep Blue Sea (Wide Screen)by
Funkychick614
Advantages: Lots of Gor Disadvantages: A bit borin
When I heard the name Deep Blue Sea I thought along the lines of Jaws, but it was more Titanic, as they always seemed to be trying to get out. Personally I liked Deep Blue Sea and I still continue to watch it, but I can understand why some people wouldn’t. At the beginning of the film doctors were trying to cure a disease by using part of the brain of a shark. But then it all goes wrong and they are all trying to kill the sharks and at the same time ...

Advantages: Great if you like mutilation Disadvantages: Read the review, the film has too many bad points
Weak plot, weak acting. Weak. Weak. Weak. When is Hollywood going to get out of this rut that they are in at the moment. It seems that recently, whenever a crap script presented to a producer, they think that sticking Violent CG will divert your attention from the contemptible bullshit you are watching. Because this film excels in utterly depraved scenes of unspeakable and, quite frankly, vulgar violence. Basically, some people get chased about by ...

Advantages: The sharks are nice :-) Disadvantages: the characters and the story
...of action) you will enjoy Deep Blue Sea. If you are just watching the film for entertainment make sure you have an oxygen tank with you. You will be gasping for breath the whole 2 hours!
I must admit the special effects in this fill are excellent and the the acting's not bad either. The story is a bit flat however, and the genetically modified super sharks are .... well, like genetically modified super sharks - you get the picture.
Thrashing ...

Advantages: Great film with lots of action Disadvantages: Most of the people die
Deep blue sea is always going to be compared to Jaws. Like, Jaws, there are a lot of sharks and a lot of people die.
Deep Blue sea is about a group of people who are doing experiments on sharks to see how clever they are. But things go wrong when they aren't just testing to see how clever the sharks are, they are making them more and more clever by the minute.
As they fight against the sharks trying to change them they become more trapped ...

Advantages: good effects, some moments kept you on the edge of your seat. Disadvantages: not long enough.
When I saw the trailers of this film I thought it would be another shark movie following in the Jaws tradition. However, I was in for a surprise as this was actually quite an entertaining film. The special effects were brilliant and very effective. The film is about a bunch of scientists who are researching a cure for Alchiemzer's Disease. They are using a group of SuperSharks to experiment on. However, disaster rears its ugly head as the crew are ...

Advantages: Great effects and sound Disadvantages: Poor acting - very American
The Bloke bought this as it's the architypical action film that blokes go for. It's cited as Jaws meets The Abyss and that's not far wrong. There's the fast moving scariness of the sharks (GM ones at that) and the effects that leave you stunned with water rushing around and glass smashing everywhere. Our home cinema system made the difference though - it's quite shocking to have an enormous shark coming over your shoulder! I'd definitely recommend ...

Advantages: great sharks Disadvantages: poor acting
If Jaws made you jump wait until you see this. Somewhere in the middle of the ocean floats a research lab in which scientists have worked out how to regenerate human brain tissue from genetically modified sharks. Naturally the sharks get cheesed off and turn the tables on their captors. Extras wise theres loads including a director's commentary by Renny Harlin and Samuel L Jackson the disc also includes a documentary on how the director researched ...
