I absoutely loved this movie. It was incredible, beginning to end. LL Cool J looks so amazing in this movie. One of the main character dies, which makes this movie so good because it isn't some corny shark tale. This is one of my all-time favorite thrillers. It is worth seeing!

when a scientist(female of corse!) puts a genetic brain cell into 3 sharks,she's lucky she isn't killed on the spot.She puts it in to improve the sharks ability of being a predator. the three sharks can then brake doors(steel ones!) foot thick glass and create havok that you can't imagine.Eating three people doesn't satisfy a shark and you can't predict what a shark will do next.....(apart from more killing of course!)If the building "aquatica" ... This a poor film which is based too heavily on special effects. These are admittedly good, but I don't believe that the quality of the special effects is a sound basis for judging the quality of the film. When I went to see this at the cinema, I wasn't sure whether it would be another version of Jaws but as I found out, it's much better! I very rarely jump during films but I did several times during this outstanding film. It is about 3 sharks that are being used to try and find a cure for Alzeimers disease. When I heard the name Deep Blue Sea I thought along the lines of Jaws, but it was more Titanic, as they always seemed to be trying to get out. Personally I liked Deep Blue Sea and I still continue to watch it, but I can understand why some people wouldn’t. Weak plot, weak acting. Weak. Weak. Weak. When is Hollywood going to get out of this rut that they are in at the moment. It seems that recently, whenever a crap script presented to a producer, they think that sticking Violent CG will divert your attention from the contemptible bullshit you are watching. ...of action) you will enjoy Deep Blue Sea. If you are just watching the film for entertainment make sure you have an oxygen tank with you. You will be gasping for breath the whole 2 hours! I must admit the special effects in this fill are excellent and the the acting's not bad either. Deep blue sea is always going to be compared to Jaws. Like, Jaws, there are a lot of sharks and a lot of people die. Deep Blue sea is about a group of people who are doing experiments on sharks to see how clever they are. But things go wrong when they aren't just testing to see how clever the sharks are, they are making them more and more clever by the minute. When I saw the trailers of this film I thought it would be another shark movie following in the Jaws tradition. However, I was in for a surprise as this was actually quite an entertaining film. The special effects were brilliant and very effective. The film is about a bunch of scientists who are researching a cure for Alchiemzer's Disease. Disadvantages: Poor acting - very American

The Bloke bought this as it's the architypical action film that blokes go for. It's cited as Jaws meets The Abyss and that's not far wrong. There's the fast moving scariness of the sharks (GM ones at that) and the effects that leave you stunned with water rushing around and glass smashing everywhere. Somewhere in the middle of the ocean floats a research lab in which scientists have worked out how to regenerate human brain tissue from genetically modified sharks.
