Advantages: Disaster movie for the nineties

Yes.This film did deserve to see the light of day. It is another of those films which is fun to watch but has no deep meaning and anything else. This is one of few Action movies in which Guns aren't a major part of the thrills(Which makes a change). Stallone is a rescue guy(Ala Cliffhanger) who isn't working at the moment(Ala Cliffhanger). He has to step in to save a load of people who are trapped in a flooding tunnel(Ala Cliffhanger. Well sort of). ... Read review

Whilst watching the film I didnt get bored for a moment. Throughout one thing happens after another with speedy regularity. A road that runs through a tunnel in New York is packed with passengers in the evening rush home. Daylight is classic Stallone fare; loud, fast and action packed from start to finish. Although it's predictable and similar to hundreds of other action films, it's still a very watchable and exciting film containing lots of action packed sequences, doing exactly what it says on the tin. Daylight starring Sylvester Stallone is a great action disaster movie. The story is that in a tunnel in America there are many people going under the sea to travel from New York to another city. However some joy riders hijack a car and ride it through the tunnel and crash. I bought this video because it had stallone in it which to me almost spoke ACTION but when it came down to it this film was terrible. Ok apart from the film showing the tunnel being sealed which was totally unbelievable (ok its hollywood) but why send in an emergency medical chief you would send the fire brigade or army haha. Very good action film keeps on on the edge until the last minute a contenderfor on of sly`s greatest movies to date in my opinon. This film really makes a nice change from the usually sly boxing films

Advantages: One of Stallones better films
Disadvantages: Could be a little more inspiring

Daylight is set in New York tunnels after both ends collapse during a getaway chase. The hero of the day, who is......Stallone has to then take control and save the day and everybody in the tunnel. It's actually not a bad film. It's an interesting idea not seen very often. Stallone actually plays the part quite ok, and the film production qualities are above average. It won't stand out as the best film you'll ever see, but it won't be on your worst ... Read review

Disadvantages: Little two dimensional at times

This is a reasonably paced disaster movie. The characters on the whole are pretty two-dimensional with the exception of Stallone. The premise is that there has been an explosion in the Hudson Tunnel (forgive me if I've got the wrong tunnel) and Stallone a former Rescue Chief goes in to rescue some survivors. well the action starts in this film at the very beginning, it is an intense film with lots of action, and stallone plays his role well. the basic outline of the film is that about 10 people get trapped in a tunnel when both ends collapse, and the tunnel slowly starts to fill up with water, while they try to escape. there is plenty of different characters in this film, the loud mouth, the quiet one, the brave one, the scared one, etc. and they ...
