...making some use of the Davina workout i had bought.
Having always been a size 8 before i had my kids i found being a size 12 strange for some time and at one point was really very unhappy about my body i know alot of women feel like this and the mothers in here can understand what its like to find yourself with a totaly different body after having children. I wasn't a fan of going to the gym, i did try it for about 6 weeks but i lacked the confidence ... ...i wanted so i gave Davina a go and Charlie brookes both are fantastic but this is a review about the Davina workout so we will keep to that.

Advantages: Does exactly what it says on the box Disadvantages: Would have like to have seen more floor exercises
...all the DVD is fun, Davina pulls you through by being Davina and Jackie and Mark are true professionals. And if you take a look at the flat stomach on Davina on the cover, it will push you to achieve the same. The rest of the DVD shows some dietary advice but I found the recipes a bit hard to read, and the BB footage speaks for itself.
My advice is give it a go, it is one of the best and not so serious workouts on the market at the moment and it ...

Advantages: Fun, varied, can switch off the 'chat', hunky man in DVD!!! yum yum Disadvantages: some bits need practise, Davina's body is too perfect!! grrr

...have the music playing, but Davina and the trainers will be muted. This is fantastic because after doing a fitness DVD a lot, you know it inside out and repeatedly hearing the instructions can become annoying!
The workouts are really easy to fit into a busy schedule because they only last half an hour each and the workouts have been crammed full, so that you use this half an hour to the best potential. The fact that it's only half an hour also means ... ...After all it's only half an hour!
I bought this DVD when it was first released and it cost me 17.99. It is available in a variety of retailers but if you look online there are some really good deals on this DVD at the moment. You should be able to purchase it for much cheaper if you have a browse around. ...

...I do believe that this Davina DVD is the best yet. It is both motivating and effective (if you keep it up, of course, and lay off the cakes!). It comprises of 3x30 minute workouts (as it's name suggests!). Each workout focuses on a different aspect of fitness. BUT... it's drawback or weak-point is that it's not too good in teaching the technique. I would imagine that for a complete beginner there may be some problems, not with the difficulty (though ... ...technique is correct and so not to cause an injury. On the whole I would recommend the DVD, as it is really great to have the three sessions of 30 minutes format. You feel that you're actively choosing what you want to work on rather than a long hard slog . In all this DVD is an improvement on other fitness DVD's including Davina's previous releases. I bought this DVD to try and vary my exercise routine from my usual workout - it's worked really well as I find each of the three routines work different parts of my body and are different enough that I can mix and match and prevent the usual exercise boredom setting in!
The three routines covered are Pump (a general cardio workout including work on the arms and abs), Cardio Box (as it sounds, lots of bouncing, punching and kicking) and Core Stability ... ...to use the Pump routine at least twice as much as the others - it's the most varied and interesting routine of the three and the music's great too. You need light weights for this one and I've found using these has toned my arms right up - I'm sure cans of beans will work just as well if you don't have weights!
The downsides to this DVD are that I don't always think moves are explained as clearly as they could be - they tend to launch into new moves ...

very true this dvd gives you a super body workout! this dvd has 6 routines to choose from so you wont get bored of the same routine day in day out. The dvd has two 40min routines which include both your warm up and cool down. one of these is full of aerobic kickboxing, while the other one is for your whole body with still a few aerobic intervals.
there is also another three routines each 50mins long with the choice of adding an extra 10mins to either ... ...six pack. each routine is very fun to do but you can also feel how good each routine works on different parts of the body. the dvd has great songs in the routines which helps alot when your feeling tired it keeps you going. the extras on the dvd are funny too. very good if you want to put in the hard work and vary on your exercises. very good for your money and yes it does work. ...

The first part of this DVD is called 'Pump' and works on toning up the muscles, they use weights, but it's not essential that you do, I didn't enjoy this as much, it's a much harder work out, and made my ache! The second part is 'Boxercise' and is my favourite workout, I loved the kicks and although I look a bit weedy I'm pretty sure it would come in handy if you ... ...10 mins they do a 1 min intense workout part, which in the boxercise session is imaginary skipping, They said it's to get your heart rate back up, well mine never goes down! hahaha but it is very satifying when you can complete the 1 min without stopping to sit down.
The 3rd part is the core workout. I did think this would be easy, but it's not and it does help with posture and things like that. I've only done it once I didn't enjoy it as much as ...

Davina McCall adds her usual humour and enthusiasm to this DVD which certainly helps you along. There are three 30 minute workouts which give you something different to try each time saving you from getting fed up of doing the same old routine daily. If you are feeling particularly good on any particular day you can do two or three sections or at least you can swap and change to suit your mood or fitness requirements.

I recently started doing fitness dvd's in the morning before I start my day. This is one of my favorites! They do interval training to keep your heart rate up and toning moves that don't use a lot of extra equipment. Its hard work, but definitely worth it. This DVD is really good. Davina is very funny and gurns a lot. Jackie and Mark, the trainers, are obviously very experienced at what they are doing! I did feel like I'd done a good workout by the end, however, I wasn't too knackered. The "Cardio Box" and "Core Stability" sections are the best. The "Cardio Box" section is great fun and the boxing relieves pent up aggression and the "Core Stability" section is very realxing! The "Pump" section is a ... ...squats and lunges.
If Davina annoys you then there is the option to turn up the music which is good. The extras are a little disappointing. I can not see Davina's quick an easy receipes on my TV screen.
