Advantages: Acoustic tracks galore, new take on Floyd classics, beautiful show... Disadvantages: Not enough extras, home movie could have been longer, no Kate Bush...
...a massive Floyd fan and David is God to me. I would even say that I'm helplessly Devoted. So I'm tempted not to say much about the concert itself, because the very fact that it's called 'David Gilmour in Concert' is a dead give-away. I mean, it's David Gilmour, he's in concert, so, therefore, it's obviously a brilliant show! But I will pass comment in due course, so please bear with me.
The interactive DVD menus are very nice indeed. Call me fussy, ... ...Movie, or, in other words, David rehearsing in his home studio with the gospel choir. More on this later. Miscellaneous consists of 'I Put A Spell On You' with Mica Paris from Jools Holland's 1992 Roadrunner show, 'Don't' from the Leiber and Stoller tribute concert of June 2001, and last, but certainly not least, 'Sonnet 18' (David singing along to Michael Kamen's music on his houseboat with a mic stand in front of him and some beautiful shots of ...
