His human side leads to fall for the elusive Elektra – who by proxy is wrapped up in the evil machinations of the Kingpin. Can Daredevil find the Kingpin? Can he stop the rogue assassin Bullseye from being naughty? And who is that woman who looks exactly like Elektra who is poncing ...

...hero herself and goes after Daredevil for revenge. Meanwhile the Kingpin -a hugely influential gangster- watches over the crime and punishment, meddling himself - with disastrous consequences.
Daredevil is a brave Hollywood comic-book hero movie; its darker and more adult than many of the others and wrestles with themes that a lot of action movies would shy away from, its fight scenes are gritty and realistic and the eventual outcome is moving ...

Daredevil is a further adaptation of a super hero comic that is written and directed by Mark Steven Johnson that was released back in February 2003.
****Story line****
Matt Murdock (Ben Affleck), a schoolboy, loses what most consider to be the most important sense after a run I with some toxic chemicals. With the loss of a sense all his other senses become stronger in order to compensate, with one becoming very strong. Matt develops a sixth ...

...a second X Men movie. Daredevil is far less known in this country than in his native America, where Daredevil comics have been immensely popular since the 1960s. A few years ago, the title was cancelled and relaunched with a new edgier look, under the more mature Marvel Knights banner. It was an incredibly successful change and probably secured the possibility of a feature-length Daredevil film. Whilst I am a long-term fan of many Marvel Comics, Daredevil ...

...I sat down and slung Daredevil into my DVD player. It follows on the trend of turning comic books into feature length films. With the likes of Spiderman, X Men and the League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen also being moved onto the big screen, Hollywood appears to have gone mad over comic book conversions, but how does this one fair.
During school Matt had things tough, his dad was a boxer but he wasn’t really in any shape to defend himself, always ...

When I first heard Daredevil was to make the transition to the silver screen I was skeptical that a faithful movie could ever be made. When I heard that Ben Affleck was to portray the blind hero, any hope I had for the movie disappeared (apart from Chasing Amy I’ve been unimpressed with just about everything I’ve seen him do).
So you can imagine my surprise when I left the cinema thinking ‘that wasn’t half bad’ and on reflection I think the Daredevil ...

...As in Spider-Man, the computer-generated daredevil moves more fluidly than a real human being ever could. Computer graphics are also used to demonstrate Murdocks "sight". It is realised in much the same way as the aliens’ vision in "Pitch Black", with images made up of tiny dots which cluster around solid objects, creating light and shade. A kind of pointillism for the 21st century. It is very effective and gives the impression that Murdock ...

Bullseye, oh dear Lord what can I say about him, evilness personified, I was led to believe by some of the reviews, he's a joke, yes the bit on the aeroplane is funny, but the rest was clichied and awful, about as scary as the socks you find under the bed, having not ...

...am a fan of the Daredevil character. I love the comics, and so the thought of a film version was an appealing one. Of course, that probably biases my opinion of the film, slightly, but I'll try to be as even-handed as I can with this review.
The film version of Daredevil has been 'in the works' since before X-Men and Spider Man, but until the success of those two films, it was considered a box office risk and had a low budget associated with the ...

I personally wasn’t keen on watching it, but thought I’d give it a go as it has the lovely Colin Farrell in it, and also starts Ben Affleck who seems to have made more good movies than bad. Now I wish I hadn’t bothered, as I actually feel slightly stupider for watching it.

...never a massive fan of Daredevil so I wasn’t going to be too bothered if they strayed away from the source material. However, a lack of reviews in the movie mags and a general “bad” feeling meant I went into the film with low expectations on the actual quality of the movie. After seeing the film, I can report that it is one of the closest adaptations of any comic to the source material and a damn fine film as well.

...and soon X-men 2, it’s Daredevil which appears on our screens. Daredevil is a comics created by Stan Lee. Such a film was risky because Spiderman hadn’t a real success and, thus, this one could disinterest a lot of people. Ben Affleck, on purpose to attract a huger public, plays the main character. Was that a good Idea ? We are going to see that later. Daredevil had to be better than the others comics adaptations and I think that the advertising were ...

Advantages: A Darker look at Marvel Comics, No 12A Certificate Disadvantages: Too 'Romeo & Julliet' for me, Ben Affleck in red leather
I went to watch Daredevil with a friend at the local cinema last weekend. I was relieved that this film was a far darker look to the Marvel comic books. The film did have that 'Batman' feel to it and was a relief after last summers colourful, child friendly 'Spider-Man'.
As you may know, Mavel Comic Books have all of a sudden become 'hot property' and are being bought up left, right and centre by film studios because everyone seems to think that ...

...visual and physical attributes … Daredevil is slightly different, because although Ben Affleck is as wonderfully gorgeous as all the rest of his kind, his character suffers one extraordinary failing in that he is blind.
As with all these things, however, there is some significant compensation, and our Ben, when he was involved in the car accident which took away his visual senses, found all of his other faculties wonderfully improved, such that ...
