Advantages: Gripping
Disadvantages: Corny at times, not much characterisation

The latter means that they are almost the last to leave the towna and as a result then have to try to flee the rapid flowing and ever growing lava trail which provides ...
...about them. The special effects are good especially considering the film is almost ten years old and despite the lack of twist and very little in the way of soundtrack in the plot the film is a good watch none the less a. There is very little gore or death just old fashioned action (hence the '12' rating', imagine a modern and reworked film based on 'Towering Inferno'). As mentioned the film is now almost ten years old (but doesnt look it's age) ...
