fantastic story, great performances, cool soundtrack. nuff said really but this update of 'dangerous liasons' is one cool film that has slick direction and one sexy babe as its leading lady. the sexy babe being sarah michelle gellar who controls all the film and all the mens atention. she plays a cruel, manipulative spoilt girl who decides to ruin one girls life by turning her into a tramp and gets her stepbrother to ruin to ruin another girls ...

Although this film came out with a blaze of publicity (especially about the much touted lesbian kiss between Sarah Michelle Gellar and Selma Blair) it failed to deliver on so many levels. The DVD version of CI has several deleted scenes - including one where Sebastian catches Greg and Joshua in bed. The deleted scene is so much more... Valmont than the one they shot in its place. As a big fan of the trio acting in this film I must say that I really liked this film. Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ryan Philippe and his lovely wife Reese Witherspoon do act great in this movie. Cruel Intentions There were three celluloid versions of Les Liaisons Dangereuses by Choderlos de Laclos before Cruel Intentions, so it had a lot to live up to. The first version, with Gerard Phillipe and Jeanne Moreau, was, in my opinion, very good, but the critics didn't like it as much.
