Advantages: Excellent film of this historic 1971 concert. Disadvantages: -
...Disc 1 features the concert which took place on 1st August 1971 at 2.30pm and 8pm at Madison Square Garden. A forerunner to Live Aid, the concert was to aid the people of Bangla Desh after floods had desimated their land.
George's songs - Wah-Wah; My Sweet Lord; Awaiting on you all; Beware of Darkness; While my Guitar Gently Weeps; Here Comes the Sun; Something and Bangla Desh are played between Ravi Shankar's Bangla Dhun; Billy Preston's That's ... ...Easy; Leon Russell's medley Jumpin' Jack Flash/Young Blood and Bob Dylan's It takes a lot to Laugh, it takes a Train to Cry; Blowin' in the Wind and Just Like a Woman. Singers are ably backed by Eric Clapton, Jim Keltner; Jesse ed Davis; Klaus Voormann and 'Apple' band Badfinger amongst many others.
Disc 2 has many special features from 1971 and updates from 2005. ...
