...barbarian is his best. Conan is not a perfect film, the acting isn't great, and some of the sets (and mythical Beasts) are blatantly made of rubber, but Arnie makes you forgive all that, with his mighty battles, and brooding power. You find yourself drawn in to his struggle and feel the satisfaction when those who stand in his way meet a bloody death on the end of his mighty broadsword. to truly apreciate this film it helps to have grown up in ...

...away from the books. Conan the Barbarian as a movie portrays the big guy exactly the way you would imagine him. Conan was a foreigner, so Arnold's accent didn't get in the way here. After watching the film I felt thoroughly enjoyed as it had everything a film needs. It had a hard hitting weel developed character which was Conan. We see him from the age of 5 developing into a 20 year old man and being taught the ways of the sword. Then remembering his fathers death he finds his families sword and searches for the banner of the band who murdered his parents. No prizes for guessing the level that "Conan the Barbarian" works on. Arnold stars as a bloke with big muscles and a sword who gets into fights with people.
