Advantages: The mice and a great song. Disadvantages: Predictable like many Disney films, because they always end happy.
...so cute. Cinderella was one of Disneys earlier classics. I do prefer the earlier ones. There are still some excellent films made by Disney today such as the Toy Story films and Monsters Inc. I didn't think Mulan was very good though.

You get the impression from the pictures of the lovely estate, that he is a wealthy man, so she could never want for anything. Her father felt that his daughter needed more care and attention from a mother and soon settles with Lady Tremaine. She also had children of her own, Anastasia and Drusella.
Unexpectedly Ciderella's father died though, and it was then the true nature of Lady Tremaine was revealed. ...

...her two spoilt stepsisters. But Cinderella was happy enough. She had the birds as friends, not to mention the mice - particularly Gus and Jaq. One day, whilst sweeping the stairs of the huge mansion they all resided in, a Royal Representative arrived with invites for all the eligble maidens in the Kingdom to attend the Royal Ball where Prince Charming (apparently rather dashing!) would choose his bride. Cinderella finds her mother's old dress to ... ...impossible amount of tasks. Distraught, Cinderella realises she'll never have the time to finish all her chores and make her dress as well. After helping her stepsisters dress for the ball, Cinderella retreats to her room at the top of the house. Greeting her there is her dress and it looks absolutly wonderful! The little mice had worked hard making the Ballgown look spectacular. As Cinderella thanks the mice, she rushes off to catch up with her ...

Cinderella is one of the oldest of fairy tales and was a very ripe choice for one of Disney's animated feature length classics.
For those of you who don't know the story (and can there really be anyone out there who doesn't?), I'll just provide a quick recap...
Cinderella is the only daughter from the first marriage of her father, who later went on to marry another woman (wicked, what else?) and inherit two step daughters (wicked and ugly, what ... ...and treat her as a skivvy. The grand ball, with the Crown Prince (handsome of course) is fast approaching and they're all going, except for poor old Cinders who of course has nowt to where (tut tut). But lo, the fairy godmother has listened to her prayers and makes grand magic with vegetables and rodents and transforms our Cinders into a real life princess, but she must be back by midnight or the magic will fade....
Of course, she enchants the prince ...

...actually remotely resembled human beings... Cinderella had normal facial features without the usual exaggerated eyes or cheekbones like the little mermaid, and princess jasmine of Aladine etc. I remember watching the movie back in 1984 or 1985 and I simply love it. If anyone would be so kind as to tell me or send me an opinion to tell me how I could go about purchasing a copy of this vintage video I would be most grateful. I do want to watch it again. ...

...knows the classic story of Cinderella and the pumpkin. But Disney takes this story and adds the Disney touch, but still keeping the storyline that everyone knows and loves. There are some adorable characters such as the mice, particularly the cute fat mouse Gus, as well as the evil cat and the wicked stepmother and step sisters that order poor ole Cinderella around all the time. This film makes great viewing for adults and children alike. ...

Cinderella is a Disney film about a servant who eventually meets her fairy godmother, then she goes and meets the prince at the ball, etc. This is a great family film, and like most Disney films, the songs such as ‘Cinderrelly’ and ‘A Dream is A Wish…’ will keep you and your kids singing. And, like all Disney films, there is a happy ending. When I first saw this film, I was about 9, and I made my mum buy me a replica of the shoes and dress that Cinderella ...

Advantages: good film, traditional fairytale, cute mice, memorable songs Disadvantages: may look dated to today's children
The story of Cinderella is one that is familiar to most of us, but you always know, when a fairytale receives the Disney treatment, it will become even more special. The Disney film version is over fifty years old, but is still just as enchanting today as it was originally.
The story tells the rags to riches tale we would all quite like to live. Which little girl hasn't dreamt of a handsome prince whisking her off to a lifetime of love and luxury ... ...being treated as a servant. Cinderella and her stepsisters receive invitations to the Prince's ball, but Cinderella has nothing to wear, a load of chores to do and no form of transport. But with the help of some adorable mice and a fairy godmother, Cinderella goes to the ball after all. Unfortunately, the magic has a time limit...
The characters in the film are excellent and it is enhanced with a collection of lovely songs, my favourite being 'Bibbity-Bobbity-Boo'. ...

...If you have never seen Cinderella and don't know the story (which i very much doubt) here's a brief explination of the tale. Cinderella is a beautiful, young girl with a gentle spirit and happy nature. She lives with her father (a widower), her step-mother and two ugly step sisters. When her father dies her step-mother's true personality shines through revealing a wicked person out to break Cinderella's gentle spirit. Cinderella is treated like a ... ...for the ball without her.
Cinderella is then visited by her fairy god mother (my favorite part) who says 'Cinderella you shall go to the ball'. She turns a pumpkin and mice into a carridge with magnificent horses to pull it and dresses Cinderella is a beautiful gown with glass slippers. Cinderella looks radient and heads for the ball with the warning that the spell will be broken at midnight so she must leave before then.
Cinderella goes to the ...

Walt Disney's CINDERELLA takes a story everybody's familiar with and embellishes it with humor and suspense, while retaining the tale's essential charm. Disney's artists provide the film with an appealing storybook look that emanates delectable fairy tale atmosphere. It is beautifully, if conventionally, animated; the highlight being the captivating scene where the Fairy Godmother transforms a pumpkin into a majestic coach and Cinderella's rags to ...

I am one of those parents who love watching cartoons and movies with my children. As it is Disney one can count on great drawing in the movie. It is a classic story with a romantic side. However i would not recommend it to the youngest children as the stephmother in the movie can be a lil scary to them. This i noticed when my youngest watched it. She found it to be a bit scary, so if you are going to let some of the youngest children to watch it ...
