I have watched this film a couple of time's, and find it a great family film. Great film. Love the song's very cheerful. When I baby sat for my cousin, I sat her daughter down to watch this film, she is aged 3, and she never took her eye's off it. Great film, great buy.

Disadvantages: Scary child catcher!!

...children and the result is Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, a fabulous silver and gleaming car. Mr Potts and Truly have now become good friends after a few false starts and a they all take a trip to the seaside in the new car. But bad luck strikes they become stranded because of the tide coming in and Mr Potts begins to tell a story to pass the time, and this story takes over from the plot in the film. This is a great children's film. I used to watch this as a child and would watch it over and over again. I would definitely recommend it.

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is a musical that i enjoyed as a child and is now enjoyed by my own child. It is a film that you can sit down and watch over and over no matter what the age, an excellent family experience. The characters are entertaining even Dick Van Dyke and his dodgy English accent. The music is catchy and entertaining and i often find myself singing along with my musical obssessed daughter. The role of the villain is well cast in the form ... Read review

Oh i love this film...and so does my 6 year old daughter...i have to be fair that when it is a wet miserable day outside and there is nothing else on the tv my daughter will ask for this to be put on and that is her for the rest of the afternoon...she is just glued to it and she sings and dances away... i think that her best part is when they are all in the sweet factory and they end up chasing each other around... i do have to have a laugh too.
