...fufilling the word quota! Chicken Run is great personally I haven't seen it but I spoke to the tramps who live outside the cinema who speak to the punters and they didn't find anything offal about it (geddit ?) (Stop these awfowl puns - Ed) Incidentally I did see the film this metaphor is just an effective vehicle for my opinions. ...

Advantages: Great for kids, good extras Disadvantages: Character development
This film is fantastically clever, but perhaps unlike quite a few other recent children’s films, has less adult appeal in it than you may think. The storyline is really rather shallow, but what makes this film are the characters and the animation. Julia Sawalha and Mel Gibson are good enough as the sentimental lead roles, but it is Jane Horrocks who steals the show, as the cute, loveable and extremely stupid fat chicken. There are some great one ... ...scary Mrs. Tweedy, who likes to make the chickens into pies. There are loads of famous people who feature in this movie, and it is worth watching just for that reason, although perhaps the chracters aren't as good as they could be. The extras are great too, and it is very interesting to see how the film was made. ...

Advantages: very authentic like the film! Disadvantages: Could flop, but it won't
...are to publish the new Chicken Run game which should hit the shelves by Christmas - and hopefully everyone will buy it. Why will they buy it? Well, for starters the graphics/ screenshots look pretty good, and it will be based primarily for Kids, so expect the game to have some promotion because every child under 12 will probably want this game. In my view the game won't be very exciting, but from the details that have already emerged, the game will ...

Review of Chicken Run (DVD)
Chicken Run was a fairly average film, for me, a 15 year old. However I would recommend it too the younger ages groups and families. With good animation it is almost as good as Wallace and Gromit, but not so funny. The film contains many famous voices so even if you don’t enjoy the film you can try and work out which character’s voice bel;ongs to which celebrity. I went to see this film hoping for a good laugh, but it didn’t appeal to my sense of ...
Advantages: This cool animated movie is causing a lot of associations Disadvantages: Of course it has not done without any propagation.
...in the following: on a chicken farm in England the hens sit at a prickly wire and dream of chicken paradise. There them will not force to carry eggs and to be prepared for soups from their moms. But, dream by dreams and the one active hen executed the plans of flight. Here the cock – an American flys to them and begins to teach everybody to fly. To say the truth, it was found out that he is typical Yankee the phony. And the active hen begins to build ...

Advantages: Funny Disadvantages: CHICKENS ARE BORING
...tea on a cloudy day, Chicken Run is that charming singularity, a commercially successful British family movie that has near-universal appeal without compromising its inherent British pluckiness (that will be the first and last poultry-pun in this review). It invites us into the Plasticine-world of Tweedy's farm, a far-from-free-range egg factory ruled with an axe of iron by greedy Mrs.Tweedy. One intrepid chicken, Ginger (voiced by Julia Sawalha) ... ...cast of beautifully individuated chicken characters including ditsy Babs (voiced by Jane Horrocks), matronly Bunty (Imelda Staunton) and practical-minded Mac (Lynn Ferguson). When an American rooster named Rocky (Mel Gibson) literally drops in from the air, the hens are set all a-flutter with excitement thinking he'll help teach them to fly away at last. But Rocky is not all he seems. Not as good as Wallace & Gromit though. ...

Advantages: original, great fun Disadvantages: bit short
What a masterpiece in terms of entertainment, humour and
stroyline. This film will be known in years to come as the
benchmark for this type of animation. The characters are funny but
heart warming and the animation is nothing short of amazing with
a 4 second scene taking 2 days to produce. it gives you an idea of
how much time and care has been taken over this movie. there are
subltle links to other films such as ET, indianna jones and star
... ...trek which are nice to see. The one great attribute this film has is
the appeal to audiences of all generations young and old. A must
see film!! ...

...running! I went to watch Chicken Run with my younger cousin (7 years old) and both her and I were totally bored. The film was slow and not very original. The film did not capture our interest. The actual animations of the film were pretty good it was just a shame the story line lacked originality. On the humour side – well I didn’t hear many people laughing, and I know I wasn’t. Both of us were not impressed by the film and were expecting a lot more ...

Chicken run is made by Nick Park creater of wallace and gromit. This is a very differnt film from all the rest. It is enjoyed by nearly everyone what ever age. It is about chicken trying to escape from a farmer. The farmers wife then buys a machine to kill them for meat. Then they really need to escape. A circus chicken called rocky drops in and the others all think he can fly so they take lessons fromhim. But he can't fly. Finally they build a air ...

Review of Chicken Run (DVD)
Aardman Studios has concocted a recipe consisting of a wonderful (albeit portly and feathered) cast, a funny, intelligent script, a gripping score, excellent cinematography and production design, plus great voice work, all mixed with years of labor and love, and the result is what is easily the best film of 2000. When was the last time you saw a movie with a cast – nearly all-female, no less – so determined and believable in their mission for freedom, ...

Advantages: Funny, clever, and a good story Disadvantages: none
...when the farmer buys a chicken pie machine! Mel Gibson - playing Rocky the flying rooster, then arrives, promising the teach the hens how to fly. This is all a bluff though. Rather than giving the entire plot away, suffice to say that they escape, Rocky gets the girl, and they all live happily ever after. The story itself is great, and the script is very clever. The real fun though is in spotting all the tributes to previous films. This is one to ...

Review of Chicken Run (DVD)
Advantages: There are some funny moments Disadvantages: predictable plot and having to put up with annoying little kids
Let me say first that Chicken Run is an excellent film for CHILDREN. The plot it predictable but there are some very funny moments through out the film. These moments aren't always deliberate I might add but sometimes more to do with the total stupidity of what your watching. My main gripe was that it is unwise to watch this film in a cinema which allows kids into it. After a quick look around when I watched this film I realised the average age of ... ...but if you do not want to be interupted every 5 seconds by little kids shouting "why is he doing that mummy" and "can I go to the toilet daddy" then I suggest you don't watch it. Trust me by the end of the film you will be ready to kill some little kids. ...
