I saw 'Chicken Run' last week and i was really impressed with the way the models were so realistic. At the beginning of the film, we are introduced to certain characters, some of which are quite amusing ( e.g Ginger ). The models themselves were very similar to those in Wallace and Gromet which is not surprising seeing as Nick Park helped in the production of both films. Wallace, Gromit and the unforgettable Shaun, have always made me laugh. This Nick Park creation has certainly lived up to his previous successes. ...up and were all having chicken pie for tea!! Follow as Ginger and Rockey try to teach the other chicken's how to fly over the barbed wire fence to save their skins, but watch out baddie Mrs Tweety is looking on ready to foil their plans. After my little brother had been nagging me to take him to the cinema to watch the new clay animation film 'Chicken Run' by the makers of Wallace and Gromit I thought why not, if its half as good as wallace and gromit it can't be all bad. Advantages: Sweet, funny and worthy of a watch
Disadvantages: Not as good as it could have been.

Having not looked forward to Chicken Run and getting a free ticket to go and see it, i must say that i was pleasantly suprised. Aardman did a good job. Now i am a fan of Wallace And Gromit but am afraid to say i prefer the likes of Toy Story to animated plasticine. Its extremly well animated, funny in places, although i have heard that it is not supposed to be a comedy, and leaves you with a warm fuzzy feeling. However all that said and you still ... Mrs Tweedy, quite obviously the head and owner of the household and farm, has no thought or concern for the chickens, or her husband! Chicken run is really good. I advise you to go and see it. I thought the chickens were made really well. I found some bits sad, and I found some bits really good. My favourite characters were Ginger, Meg and Rockey. I found the story line really interesting and exciting. Some bits made you sit on the edge of your seat. Ideal for all ages, even for teenagers. I have never seen such a funny film. I came out of the cinema into the pouring rain, laughing and laughing. Got into my friend's car for a lift home, still laughing. Got home, fed cats, still laughing. A brilliant film. I could not believe the detail and the great script that the film had. This film is hilarious and touching at the same time. The makers have come under criticism for not donating money to save chickens in real life which I think is unfair. They have promoted the idea of chickens as conscious beings in this film, which has done a lot for the pro-chicken movement.
