...going somewhere) so I saw Chicken Run just to see how the animation had advanced, plus the trailer looked quite good. It starts of brilliantly and keeps it up for most the film, but in the last 20 minutes it seems to run a bit tired and turns quite childish (setting up nicley for the predictable happy ending) There are some funny moments (mostly what's in the trailer) but dispite the relitavley short running time it starts to drag (only slightly) ...

...to the cinema to see Chicken Run over the weekend. At 14, it didn't strike as being my kind of film, but I was actually pleasantly surprised! The adults in the cinema seemed to laugh at the jokes more than the kids did, and the script writing was surprisingly subtle for a supposed children's movie. ...tells the tale of a chicken farm set somewhere in the North of England (I can't make up my mind whether it's supposed to be Lancashire or Yorkshire) and the attempts of the chickens there to escape from a fate worse than death. Ginger is the leader of the bunch and she's ably supported by Mac, the inventor with her larger than life bottle bottom glasses. There's escape after escape which goes badly wrong until Rocky, an American "flying" rooster ...
...dropping in on the farm like the proverbial 7th Cavalry. He looks like the answer to their prayers, but there's something not quite right about him.... This is wonderful stuff and is oddly 1950s in feel. It's warm and funny and very, very popular. I love the works of Nick Park and everything he's done. W & G are brilliant, but this is excellent. I saw 'Chicken Run' last week and i was really impressed with the way the models were so realistic. At the beginning of the film, we are introduced to certain characters, some of which are quite amusing ( e.g Ginger ). The models themselves were very similar to those in Wallace and Gromet which is not surprising seeing as Nick Park helped in the production of both films. Although it is rated as a 'U' film, i found some parts to the story very emotional ...
...the film are that the characters are easy to relate to and the storyline is good and keeps you interested. The disadvantages of the film are few : it costs a lot to go and see the film and in some parts, the storyline is predictable! I think 'Chicken Run' is a great film for all ages especially young families. ...

Having not looked forward to Chicken Run and getting a free ticket to go and see it, i must say that i was pleasantly suprised. Aardman did a good job. Now i am a fan of Wallace And Gromit but am afraid to say i prefer the likes of Toy Story to animated plasticine. Its extremly well animated, funny in places, although i have heard that it is not supposed to be a comedy, and leaves you with a warm fuzzy feeling. However all that said and you still ...

Chicken run is really good. I advise you to go and see it. I thought the chickens were made really well. I found some bits sad, and I found some bits really good. My favourite characters were Ginger, Meg and Rockey. I found the story line really interesting and exciting. Some bits made you sit on the edge of your seat. Ideal for all ages, even for teenagers. I have never seen such a funny film. I came out of the cinema into the pouring rain, laughing and laughing. Got into my friend's car for a lift home, still laughing. Got home, fed cats, still laughing. A brilliant film. I could not believe the detail and the great script that the film had.
