Advantages: Easy story - seen it all before! Disadvantages: No big breasted dame
...laugh and they were making Chicken Pie!
However, top marks for the film due to the theme throughout - The Great Escape! I almost leapt out of my cimema seat with joy as Rocky the Rooster made the jump with a tricycle that Steve McQueen never quite could, no matter how many reruns you watch.
Quite simply a great film with a pi** take theme. A joy to watch. ...

...last, it'd have to be Chicken Run. I don't see what the big deal is. When I was watching it I nearly screamed out in boredom and helplesness! It made my jaws ache, my legs hurt and my head scream and pount in utter tormented agony of having to watch such a lame movie that everyone else seemed to think was smashing. It certainly wasn't smashing! It was gosh darn awful! ...

Advantages: Great animation Disadvantages: No humans!
I really went into this movie thinking the animation would be great but the story would be to childish. Well i was half right, the animation was amazing, totally crisp and smooth, and the story was wonderful. The Great Chicked Escape is what this movie could of been called. I was surprised how funny it was. I think the expressions on the faces of the chickens were just priceless. This is just a great movie for a person of any age to go see, even ...

Advantages: a good film worth seeing Disadvantages: does not appeal to everyone's sense of humour
i went to see chicken run after seeing advertisements and reviews about it, i found it to be a funny film with brilliant animation and a good storyline, not quite the rip off of the great escape that some reviews have described it as, though some parts appear very similar. though certified as a 'U' and young children would probably enjoy it, some of the humour is quite adult orientated (but there is nothing so bad that children should not see the ...

Advantages: great animation, enjoyable Disadvantages: maybe a bit slow for younger kids
Chicken Run is a film by Oscar winning Nick Park, the Bristol-based man behind Aardman Animations, the creators of Wallace & Gromit & the Creature Comforts films. Chicken Run is about some (guess what !) chickens trying to escape from their cruel owner, who first kills them if they fail to produce enough eggs, then buys a machine to turn them all into chicken pies ! If I wasn't already a vegetarian, I might have been convinced to become one, after ...

Advantages: Funny and moving - you CARE for the chickens Disadvantages: Just not long enough
Upon seeing "Chicken Run" while I was on a trip to sunny Great Yarmouth, I was surrounded by noisey little five year-olds. But this didn't matter, I laughed myself silly all the way through the film.
It took a long time to make, and I think it was worth it, not only for the animation as I believe it did have a really good script as well. From the opening shot to the elaborate final sequence, it was exactly what I had expected - I had fun, I laughed, ... ...think Nick Park has done a splendid job yet again, and it looks like he could be onto yet another Oscar. See it - take your kids, or leave them at home - either way, you will enjoy it.
PS. Listen out for Rocky's (Mel Gibson) enterance - it is hilarious. ...

Advantages: geared towards all audiences Disadvantages: movie tickets are so damn expensive
Chicken Run is a new claymation film from the creator of the Wallace and Grommit cartoons. It is about a group of chickens who want to escape from the farm before they are made into chicken pies. That's all I'm telling you! You have to see this movie. Even if you think it would look strange for a thrity year old single man to ask for "one ticket for Chicken Run" you have to see it! The film offers funny moments that adults and children will enjoy ...

Advantages: Brilliant film, great animation Disadvantages: None
As a Wallace and Gromit fan, it was my duty to go along to the cinema and watch this new feature length product of Nick Park's animative genius. I was not at all disappointed. I was laughing from the first pain stakingly detailed frame onwards. It would have been acceptable for such a well animated film of such duration to have a less than gripping plot- though, whilst not exactly riviting, the simple story line, based on a whole farm of chickens ... ...The attention paid to detail was awe-inspiring, and made it hard to believe that these human-like charactered poultry weren't real. I was particularly enchanted by the two "rogue trader" cockney rats , who could get hold of just about anything, as long as they were promised eggs in payment. I would recommend this to anyone who wants an entertaining night out- this film can be watched by the whole family! ...

Chicken Run
===========
Though most of the elements of this Ardman animation are aimed at children there is also some squarely aimed at adults this aside it is a very funny and well styled film which is centred around a chicken farm of which the chickens are trying to escape from in numerous escape attempts all of which have humorous parts and the whole film has well defined voices for the chickens and other characters. And when things start to ... ...which spells doom for the chickens and so they decided they are all going to escape and so set forth with scheming and plotting to this end.
For those who have seen Wallis and Gromit will be sure to know the style of animation but for those who do not then all I say is that it has more of a traditional look rather than a modern rendered one which for the style is best suited and also the sound effects have been very carefully selected and though ...

...try to run from the chicken farm because it's owner is really harsh and the farm is like a prison. The leader af the chickens is Ginger. She plans all runs, but because of her retarded, fat, stupid chicken friends they never succeded. And when they prepaired to die and Ginder was sitting on the roof praying to God, the superchicken lands ... ...how to spell). So basically everything is very well made, sounds are very good, vioses. It was made in the same way as 'The wrong trousers'. If you have seen it you will understand. Chicken run just has voises of caracters, and other sounds are better. Especially on DVD. ...

Advantages: funny, easy to watch Disadvantages: too much hype
Having watched all the hype about the film and the fact it's from the makers of Wallace and Grommit, I couldn't wait to see the film. I was intrigued by the fact that Mel Gibson and Julia Sawahla were providing the voices for the central characters of the film as well.
The plot revolves around a group of 'captive' chickens devising plans to escape from the evil farmer and his wife before they get the chop when they can't produce eggs any more.
... ...great and very funny. Although I've said I'm a bit disappointed, it's not really because the film wasn't enjoyable and funny as it was. It's more to do with the problem that a lot of films have nowadays from the media overkill and hype which precedes the release. You see all the funnniest bits so you know what's coming and very few things are funnier the second time round.
Kids will love the animation and the characters, although the one-liners ...

...often, and I only watched Chicken Run because I had nothing better to do that evening and a few people from work were going, but I loved it. The character's are superb, particulaly Ginger, the lead hen, who far and away the only one with any sense at all.
