ok i have seen this on the west end and on film. which one is better? well to be honest they are bothe good in different ways. The film is very true to the stage version although a few of the songs have been cut. i think the way the musical numbers are set out are amazing. you can really understand the song and the stories in them. as for the acting well top notch performances from all. to be honest i was shocked at the high level of great singing ...

As you might have gathered from my reviews list I am a great fan of the musical and having seen this on the stage I had to see it on DVD to see how well they had transfered it from stage to film. With a great cast list of Catherine Zita Jones ,Richard Geear and Rene Zelwiger The story is set in the swinging 20s and is about a girl who wants to become a cabaret star. ...shot lawyer and the story follows her trial. The songs are great there are a few classics in her and the performances by every one in the film are great. I had my doubts about Catherine Zeta Jones in the role but she was fab as where all the rest of the cast. This is a film for older children and adults but one of those films that you just have to have in the collection. ...
