Ok, here's the thing. I like this movie. Not because its one of those kick-ass, never send a boy to do a woman's job type films, but because it understands what it is. That is its a film based on a cheesy 70/80's series involving three (count 'em) beautiful ladies who go out and solve crime, while having perfect hair and big smiles. ...pumped out on a weekly basis. That's not to say it doesn't have its problems. There are a few dodgy plot moments, some blatantly gratuitous yodelling, and something of an underused Bill Murray. First and foremost, this film is great! But should it be in the martial arts category? I think not (try action). Although it does have some great fight sequences. With all the hype that surrounded the release of this movie and after many of my friends telling me about how good it was, when I finally went to see it it was a big anti-climax. The movie lacks any hint of a decent plot and is about as predictable as they come. I know movies are supposed to be unrealistic but this really takes the biscuit. I went to see this film a few weeks ago, and enjoyed it. This is a remake of the 70's show with a lot of 21st century technology and effects added. The 21st century cast is three of Hollywoods finest (lookers) - Cameron Diaz, Lucy Lieu, and Drew Barrymore, and offers some nice eye candy for the lads. When my flatmate returned from the video shop clutching this I must admit I thought 'this is going to be terrible but I can probably handle watching these three for an hour and a half'. Well, I went to see Charlies' Angels today - this film has attitude. Forget the bikini-bimbos in the seventies TV series (though I did like Cheryl Ladd) these three grils - Lucy Liu, Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz know how to take care of themselves. The film is the usual no-brainer affair (after all, we don't go to watch it for the intellectual plot do we?) about a rescue attempt on an important engineer which then leads the Angels into deep water. ...

In Germany, this film is called "drei Engel für Charlie", what means as much as "three angels for charlie"... These three angels are acted by Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu. Ok guys point taken now updated! I don't like to write too much about film reviews I tend to think I don't want to tell the whole story and ruin the film for someone who hasn't yet seen it. I borrowed this DVD from a friend, he did say to not take it seriously, and he was right. It was similar to the old 70's TV series, in some aspects, but the whole plot was very thin. There were many stolen effects from The Matrix ( an excellent film) but hey ...
