Ok, here's the thing. I like this movie. Not because its one of those kick-ass, never send a boy to do a woman's job type films, but because it understands what it is. That is its a film based on a cheesy 70/80's series involving three (count 'em) beautiful ladies who go out and solve crime, while having perfect hair and big smiles.
Thankfull the film decided to embrace this concept and take it further - making it something of a camped-up, girl ...

First and foremost, this film is great!
But should it be in the martial arts category? I think not (try action). Although it does have some great fight sequences.
This film was inspired by the original 1970's t.v show, and was re-made in a spectacular fashion, with cutting edge technology and special effects. Ok so the basic plot line is predictable in parts, and same-old same-old in places, but this is more than made up for by the awesome special ...

With all the hype that surrounded the release of this movie and after many of my friends telling me about how good it was, when I finally went to see it it was a big anti-climax.
The movie lacks any hint of a decent plot and is about as predictable as they come. I know movies are supposed to be unrealistic but this really takes the biscuit. The Drew Barrymore window scene is just taking the p*** out of the audience.
I find it hard to take ...

Advantages: fast, semi clad women, bill murray Disadvantages: no plot, poor script
Well, I have to admitt that I went into the cinema with less than high hopes of finding a good film. I also have to admitt that althought the film was enjoyable - funny with good action - I must say that, for the sake of my friends who know me as a bit of a film buff, that this film represents - as does Godzilla and other hollywood affairs how far ENTERTAINMENT has come in film.
By this I mean that the quota of style over content is now so high that ...

Advantages: Eye-candy, good effects, funny Disadvantages: weak plot
I went to see this film a few weeks ago, and enjoyed it.
This is a remake of the 70's show with a lot of 21st century technology and effects added. The 21st century cast is three of Hollywoods finest (lookers) - Cameron Diaz, Lucy Lieu, and Drew Barrymore, and offers some nice eye candy for the lads.
The effects are good too, using some of the technologies developed for The Matrix, together with the usual Hollywood explosions. Right from the ...

Charlies Angles was one of the films that I have most recently seen, I can’t say its anywhere near the best.
Charlies Angels (Cameron Diaz, Lucy Lou and Drew Barrymoore) are al undercover spy all trying to solve why a very important inventor had been kidnapped.
This film doesn’t seem normal though, they have tried to make the film funny but it mostly doesn’t achieve this, and makes you wonder why they bothered with some of ...

It stars the stunning threesome of Cameron Diaz, Lucy Lui and Drew Barrymore all three are stunning throughout the film and play there parts really well, they slip into all kinds of situations and deal with a terrorist hell bent on killing there boss charlie townsend. Bill murray is second in command to charlie and plays the great role of bosley, he brings ...

Advantages: Very funny lighthearted film Disadvantages: Not to be seen if you want something serious!
Charlies Angels is a very tongue and cheek movie, and if you want a lighthearted night out then it is definitely a must. It is a high energy film which is action packed, however it has the comedy of a lot of great films and a very light hearted look on everything. It does follow the Charlies Angel serires even down some of the scenes and is set in the 70’s. This isn’t a film you would want to go and see for action or anything serious however you on ...

Trio of Totty Review ofCharlie's Angels (DVD)by
setimerenptah
Advantages: Funny, fast-paced, Bill Murray, totty. Disadvantages: Nonsensical plot, over-reliance on special effects.
I was pleasantly suprised to find this film was not as bad as I had expected it to be. When my flatmate returned from the video shop clutching this I must admit I thought 'this is going to be terrible but I can probably handle watching these three for an hour and a half'. However the film had a good sense of humour and constantly parodied itself. It was also action packed and featured lots of special effects.
I enjoyed the tongue-in-cheek style, ...

Advantages: great soundtrack and action Disadvantages: a bit daft!
Well, I went to see Charlies' Angels today - this film has attitude. Forget the bikini-bimbos in the seventies TV series (though I did like Cheryl Ladd) these three grils - Lucy Liu, Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz know how to take care of themselves.
The film is the usual no-brainer affair (after all, we don't go to watch it for the intellectual plot do we?) about a rescue attempt on an important engineer which then leads the Angels into deep ...

I thoroughly enjoyed Charlie's Angels. It was entertaining, lively and had good special effects and a fantastic score to boot. All concerned gave a good performance - the characters were larger than life, but that added to the humour of the film. Cameron Diaz plays a dizzy blonde, Lucy Lui plays a film actress convincingly (strange that!) and Drew Barrymore plays a temptress (from what I remember!)
It could be perceived as a feminist version of ...

...from the hit 70's series Charlie's Angels. I didn't really like the people picked I think they could have chosen better known people. I think they were a bit slutty and the fighting scenes were a bit fake looking apart from Lucy Lu's because she can do marshall arts. All Cameron Diaz did was what she was good at flirting and acting tarty, Drew Barrymore was good as usual and Lucy Lu I have to say impressed me with her good acting skills too. When ...

Hello Ciao-User!
First: Happy Christmas! :o)
And know... my opinion:
I have seen "Charlie´s Angels" one week ago at Cinema. Of course, I have seen the german version because I am from Germany... In Germany, this film is called "drei Engel für Charlie", what means as much as "three angels for charlie"...
These three angels are acted by Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu.
They shall release a software-ingeneur which has been kidnapped. ...

Ok guys point taken now updated!
I don't like to write too much about film reviews I tend to think I don't want to tell the whole story and ruin the film for someone who hasn't yet seen it.
I borrowed this DVD from a friend, he did say to not take it seriously, and he was right.
It was similar to the old 70's TV series, in some aspects, but the whole plot was very thin.
There were many stolen effects from The Matrix ( an excellent film) but ...
