Production Year: 2000 - Action/Adventure - Director: Joseph McGinty - Original Language: English - Classification: 15 years and over - Starring:Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore, Lucy Liu, Bill Murray, Kelly Lynch, Tim Curry, Sam Rockwell, Crispin Glover more
Advantages: Funny, action-packed and a decent plot! Disadvantages: None really
I am very happy to report that I was pleasantly surprised by "Charlie's Angels"! I was expecting an MTV style, couple of hours of tat but, guess what?! It's actually really really good! The story follows the 3 angels on a case about computer fraud. It has a very twisty turny plotline that keeps action and laughs in a nice balance. Bill Murray as Bosley is one of the funniest things I've seen in ages, and once again Cameron Dias pulls off her comic ...

Advantages: i caught up on my sleep Disadvantages: boring, predictable, i paied to see it
Why did I pay to waste my life watching this rubbish? It’s terrible. It's way to predictable and unbelievable. If you like the original stick to it! This is a modern remake that shouldn’t have ever got past a script. The acting is poor. I know its an action but its would be a brilliant film to make a mimic out of like the scary movie did horror films
I only saw it cause I'm a Drew Barrimore fan. Well I’m not a fan of this.

Advantages: Girls kicking bad guys ass! Disadvantages: Too much The Matrix and MI-2 rip-offs
...blockbuster. Typical style.. However, with Charlie's Angels, a couple of brilliant one-liners and slapstick comedy makes this a memorable watch!
There's nothing too special about the movie actually. They try to make the plot twist by making the good guy in the first place turn baddie, but it's all in the manual. Most viewers can predict this all along. Maybe the one that we want is to know who Charlie really is. But, they don't wanna give u that!!

Advantages: Absolutely no brain power or concentration required, a feel good film, nice to look at, superb soundtrack. Disadvantages: You don't 'get much' out of the film, absolutely no feasible story line
...mobs and went to see Charlie's Angels.
The opening was faux James Bond - without the imagination and financial backing but with all the ludicrousness. As one other contributor stated the hair flicking was deeply annoying but mercifully stopped quite quickly.
The middle of the story was OK, the end was predictable but good.
As a whole, the film is very good looking to watch. The funniest moments are Cameron Diaz in Y-fronty things sticking ...

Advantages: not applicable Disadvantages: its pants
Make a cynical film, expect a cynical review. Saved from the drudgery of conceiving a concept, the makers of this film have at least continued the tradition of the TV series from which it was spawned in providing mild titilation with dialogue. Quite why anyone needs the token gesture of a plot is a mystery but nevetheless the makers sling one in that is by turns preposteruous, lacking in continuity and of little interest. At the time of the film's ...

Advantages: Cool SFX and the angels...well! Disadvantages: None
I have never seen the original Charlie’s Angels series but if was anything like the film, it must have been good. Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu star as Charlie’s Angels, special agents funded by a millionaire named Charles Townsend who can’t master the art of face-to-face conversation. The angels get a call from Charlie when a new mission comes up, and if they accept, a film like this is produced.

Great stuff Review ofCharlie's Angels (DVD)by

Advantages: Slick and cool and sexy and fun. Disadvantages: Bill Murray is underused.
The only bad point about this film is that Bill Murray is woefully underused. Apart from that, everything is brilliant, and it manages to be funny, cool, sexy, exciting and all four at the same time. Plus, Cameron Diaz is in it, which is more than enough reason to watch any film. Ah, Bill Murray... what a brilliant piece of casting. Plus, that man with the cigar really manages to annoy and disturb you, which all good movie bad guys should do. Cool. ...

Advantages: acting Disadvantages: too cheesy in places
...the big screen. The new Charlie's Angels movie is cheesy and comical, and it means to be. What we have here is a mindless but fun outing that will have women cheering and guys laughing. Diaz, Liu and Barrymore portray the extraordinarily skilled team of crime-fighters who seem able to do everything except lead a normal life. Bill Murray plays Bosley, their supervisor, and John Forsythe reprises his role as the voice of the team's boss Charlie. Their ...

Advantages: Great looking women, great cars, different plot Disadvantages: Too many cars got written off, Matt Le Blanc
I went to see this film with no prior expectations having never seen the TV series, only heard comments about it from my Dad who was blatently biased as he fancied Farrah Fawcett, so I didn't pay much attention to him.
However, I still managed to leave the film feeling pleasantly surprised. I like action films like The Matrix, and I also like spoof action films like Austin Powers and this film definately fitted into the latter category.

Advantages: great effects of all types Disadvantages: storyline is a bit predictable
...and Lucy Liu. This film, Charlie's Angels was primarily based on a very popular 1970's American TV series. However back then the girls don't look so hot compared to the young ones now. Some people may say this film's effects are quite close to the Matrix's, but I personally think it's not that near as good as the Matrix's effects, as the Matrix is the best.
I must admit to this, but the soundtrack and such really does matches the great James Bond ...

Advantages: The captured light heartness of the original program and the excellent casting. Disadvantages: Predictable ending which i suppose cant be avoided.
I have watched this film 5 times and I can honestly say that it just gets better every single time I see it.

Advantages: All action, good humour Disadvantages: All cleavage and girl power
If you can get past the annoying "Girl Power!" part, and the so obvious hairflicking and cleavage showing definitely designed for blokes, this is actually quite a good movie! I spent the first part of the film groaning at the unsubtle "chicks can do anything, and look stunning in the process" lines and actions, then started getting in to the nature of the movie. I think you really have to enter into the spirit and appreciate this really is where the ...

Advantages: Funny, silly spoof. Disadvantages: Plot was occasionally forgotten about in favour of butt shots.
I didn't think i would like this film because i'm not really a big action movie fan. However i thought that this was one of the best movies i have seen in ages. Its very much a boys film with lots of shots of the Angels bending over and the fact that every top worn by Cameron Diaz was cut down to her bellybutton but i still enjoyed it a lot.
I think the best description of the film i have heard was "gloriously kitsch". This could not be more true ...

Dumb and dire Review ofCharlie's Angels (DVD)by
Pleb
Advantages: Short Disadvantages: Poor plot, needless shots showing off the female leads, silly fight scenes, looked like a Matrix rip-off in parts
I like easy going action films as much as the next man, but this one just went too far. About half an hour through my sister and I broke out into laughter simultaneously and both said we couldn't believe just how bad the film was.
The problem is, the film completely lacked substance and made a mockery of the players involved. Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz especially have had good roles in other films, but were reduced to bimbos in this, with ...
