I am very happy to report that I was pleasantly surprised by "Charlie's Angels"! I was expecting an MTV style, couple of hours of tat but, guess what?! It's actually really really good! The story follows the 3 angels on a case about computer fraud. It has a very twisty turny plotline that keeps action and laughs in a nice balance. ...blockbuster. Typical style.. However, with Charlie's Angels, a couple of brilliant one-liners and slapstick comedy makes this a memorable watch! There's nothing too special about the movie actually. They try to make the plot twist by making the good guy in the first place turn baddie, but it's all in the manual. Most viewers can predict this all along. Maybe the one that we want is to know who Charlie really is. But, they don't wanna give u that!! ...

As one other contributor stated the hair flicking was deeply annoying but mercifully stopped quite quickly. The middle of the story was OK, the end was predictable but good. The only bad point about this film is that Bill Murray is woefully underused. Apart from that, everything is brilliant, and it manages to be funny, cool, sexy, exciting and all four at the same time. I went to see this film with no prior expectations having never seen the TV series, only heard comments about it from my Dad who was blatently biased as he fancied Farrah Fawcett, so I didn't pay much attention to him. However, I still managed to leave the film feeling pleasantly surprised. I like action films like The Matrix, and I also like spoof action films like Austin Powers and this film definately fitted into the latter category. The girls ...
...costumes, my favourite being the racing car crew (yes - I am a motorsport freak). The best part of the movie, however, was when a rather implausible looking man managed to take on all three angels in a fight and surprisingly, lost. (Couldn't see that one coming, guys!) ...and Lucy Liu. This film, Charlie's Angels was primarily based on a very popular 1970's American TV series. However back then the girls don't look so hot compared to the young ones now. Some people may say this film's effects are quite close to the Matrix's, but I personally think it's not that near as good as the Matrix's effects, as the Matrix is the best. I must admit to this, but the soundtrack and such really does matches the great James Bond ...

I have watched this film 5 times and I can honestly say that it just gets better every single time I see it. So what that it's a cheesy remake of the cheesy original 70's TV show, that's half of the fun...
