...remake of the slightly remembered Charlie's Angels 70's series a chance. One, the curiosity of the classic's remake. Two, Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu.
I have to admit the film tries hard to borrow as many aspects from the series as possible, but in this it gives up any chance of bringing up a decent interesting plot, what is left being a very predictable story.
I has a go at being a comedy but results a fight light action movie.
Nevertheless ...

Advantages: Angels who know martial arts!!! Disadvantages: Story a bit old.
I must admit that Cameron Diaz, Drew Berrymore and Lucy Liu, the new century three angels (Natalie, Dylan and Alex) who worked for a billionare named Charlie (who never showed his face in the movie as in the TV sitcom), who really have put countless efforts on the movie. As I know from all the information and reviews of the movie, the three attractive actresess have to learn martial arts 6-7 hours per day from a action director from Hong Kong (who ...

Advantages: The Action Scenes. The three girls Disadvantages: Nothing
~ ~ It makes me a little sad to have to admit that I am old enough to remember the TV detective series, which inspired the making of this film. (I think it’s now being repeated on Sky?)
I loved this series starring Farrah Fawcett and Jocelyn Smith (I forget the third “angel, shame on me!) as the Angels, and actor Bill Murray as “Bosley”, the go-between who protected the identity of the never to be seen “Charlie”.
New ...

Advantages: Great action sequences, the angels, Bill Murray Disadvantages: Poor poor script.
Charlies Angels is another 70's TV-series to big screen attempt and to be honest it does not do all that much better than the easily-forgettable Avengers. The opening sequence of the movie sets the tone firmly as self-parody... Drew Barrymore improbably disguised Mission Impossible 2 style.
The film has a poor script and a slightly above average plot (for action films) with a fairly effective midway twist. The poor script is, perhaps, the most ...

I was drawn to watch this movie by the 'eye-candy' trailers and surprise surprise what did I get when seeing the film? Enough eye-candy to destroy your teeth for three lifetimes.
This isn't to say the film is bad. It's exactly what you would expect. If you want lots of fairly loosely linked set-piece scenes joined together in such a way that you really begin to wonder whether you watching on of those adverts where by the end of it you haven't got ...

Advantages: Cameron Diaz, good laugh Disadvantages: Action Scenes not great
Went to see the film tonight... Bit dubious as some of the reviews have been less than good I was Pleasantly supprised to find that this film is very good.
Its shot in the style of the original series, which will appeal to all the fans of the original series, whilst bringing in a whole wealth of new fans.
The most impressive aspect of this film is Cameron Diaz, she simply shines, oozing charm, and sexuality. Despite a rather lacklustre script, ...

Advantages: Great action scenes Disadvantages: None
Charlies Angels is simply a great action comedy that doesn't take itself too seriously. It has amazing Matrix style action scenes in which Cameron Diaz, Lucy Lui and Drew Barrymore fly through the air for insane amounts of time before kicking someone. You either like this or hate it but I think it's great. The acting is great with each of the above playing very different people. The are some great comedy moments in this film one of the best is when ...

Advantages: Good value afternoons entertainment Disadvantages: Prectictable, but so was the series
I wasn't looking forward to seeing this, but dragged along my daughter and husband agreed it was worth seeing. The right amount of Angelish fawning over Bosley and Charlie, good action packed plot, with the 1970's ' hair flicking' by the heriones!Martial arts scenes were a little hard to believe, but the choreography of them was performed well, evening if they did 'Strike the pose' after every confrontation
Rated 15 - I believe this is because ...

Advantages: Colourful Disadvantages: waste of time watching
I had my popcorn, sweets and drink at the ready, alongside my husband and daughter, poised with my DVD player to watch Charlies Angels.
From the opening scenes I realised that it was not going to be an updated version off the hit series in the 70's. No! Rather it seemed more like a spoof. It was not a film that could be taken at all seriously and the characters were very disappointing.
The plot. I lost it! There was a villain or 2. But instead ...

Advantages: Gave me a chance to get some sleep Disadvantages: I had to pay almost £6 to sleep
Charlie's Angels is probably the most wasted time of my life I've experienced. It was predictable, obvious, dull and had no story line. In short, it was two hours of women in very skimpy clothes jumping around and getting wet. It wasn't even slightly subtle. There were obvious sex scenes, which really had no purpose other than to be slightly crude and obviosuly the good guy turned out to be really evil and there was a scheme being worked... dun dun ...

...that I should see the Charlie's Angels movie. It was announced as "detective thriller about a computer genius kidnapping".
The movie itself, as it looks like, is designed only to show the "so-called" beautiful girls. Actually there's nothing else inside of this film. Sometimes it looks like podium. What about "beautiful", I can quote a man's opinion about them. "A curved-leg Chinese, a fat redhaired cow and a bony nervous blonde".
The plot is getting ...

I loved this film, I didn't want to, it was one of those wet Sunday afternoon cinema trips to kill time. I remember the original Angels, although not particularly fondly.
The beginning of the film had me wondering what the hell I was doing there, the cheese rating of the aircraft / speed-boat sequence was at least 9/10, this however was just setting us up for the main story, which doesn't take too many brain cells to work out.
Don't watch Angels ...

Don't go to this movie to watch the action.
Don't go to this movie to watch cheesy 80 stuff.

Full of action Charlie's Angels made for an entertaining film for everyone. Basically the story is a millionnaire pays 3 "angels" to fight crime and solve mysteries, by beating the hell out of a load of men.
The angels had many tight sexy suits and often got wet or active, perfect watching for most men...and I want their wardrobes!
I never knew Charlie's Angels the first time around but even if the film wasn't like the orginal ...
