...times downright unnecessary. With any Charlie's Angels film, you go to the film expecting to see the indiscrepancies of the plot washed over by the action sequences; the film-makers know that all you’re looking for is to pass an afternoon looking at gorgeous babes! On the other hand, if you’re looking for a plot, stay well away!
The problem was that I fell into the former category, but ended up disappointed. Charlie’s Angels: Full ...

That is the question.
This year is set to go through the greatest number of sequels ever released at once. With X-2 hitting the silver screens in May, 2 Fast 2 Furious next, T3 will be arriving within the next fortnight and with other trilogy/sequels being released into the movie-world like the Matrix Reloaded and Revolutions, Charlie’s Angels 2: Full Throttle half-heartedly tagged along.
The advertising strategies for other Sequel ... ...(which I have seen – completely irrelevant, I just wanted to boast) with teaser trailers giving us a sneak preview of the blockbuster months in advance following up with a long trailer identifying main themes of the upcoming sequel (most noteworthy was the Matrix’s teaser that tickled our fancy and left us wetting ourselves in excitement – OK, not so graphic). Charlie’s Angels 2 did not follow in this trend. It was only two weeks before it’s initial ...

Well this is the time of year in which the summer holidays hit and boredom strikes! This year I was determined not to let that happen and so for the first few days things seemed to be going quite well and then came the first Monday, the day I class as the first real day of my summer and I had nothing to do. I sat all day doing nothing until to my relief I received a text from Joe (j_mcb) inviting me the cinema. Great I thought to myself and on the ... ...cinema came the big debate. Which film did we see!? After a few moments of arguments we managed to come to an agreement of Charlie’s Angels 2 – Full Throttle. I didn’t really know what to expect from this film as I hadn’t seen the first but I was outnumbered and forced to buy this ticket (Yes I was with 2 males desperate to see Cameron Diaz!) There hadn’t really been much of a hype about this film unlike some of the other sequels released earlier ...

...is the beauty of the Charlie's Angels, once you get past the obvious unbelievability of the entire thing, you're in for the ride of your life. If you thought the first film was action packed and fast-paced, you really ain't seen nothin' yet!
This is a sequel, but there's no real need to see the first film to explain anything, unsurprisingly, this film doesn't centre around a complicated plot and deep character analysis. Though it does have a plot, ... ...(Lucy Liu) make up the Charlie's Angels, a trio of crime-fighting private investigators who work for the absent Charlie, a millionnaire who funds the Angels, but whom nobody has ever met. He contacts the girls via Bosley, a kind of generic, stupid male presence, just for the sake of it. In the first film, Bosley was played by Bill Murray. But he's absent in this film (rumour has it he and Lucy Liu didn't get on...) so his even more incompetent brother ...

Last summer just as the holidays started I typically caught a really bad cold. I am almost certain I was dying and, no I'm not being melodramatic, and it was then that I first saw Angels bathed in a heavenly glow! To be more precise it was Charlies Angels and the glow was coming from the tv screen, but you get the picture. Their ass kicking antics, snappy musical numbers and Charlies soothing voice all worked together to ease my fevered brain and ... ...when Charlies Angels Full Throttle (Directed by McG?)came out in the cinema I had to go see it to discover whether it was the fever that had made me enjoy Charlies Angels or whether I actually have bad taste!
This may surprise some of you but there is actually a plot to this movie, though blink and you might very well miss it. Basically two rings which somehow store information about the witness relocation program have been stolen by some naughty ...

Advantages: Sexy girls, good effects Disadvantages: Lack of plot, any opportunity for an explosion is grabbed
...And that is how Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle starts. From that piece you can basically gather everything you need to know about the rest of the film: Diaz is the kooky, fun-loving one, Barrymore is tough tomboy, and Lui is the stylish classy flexible one, the plot doesn't matter at all, the angels always win, with ne'er even smudging their lipstick, and they do all of this in ridiculous heels.
Full Throttle is an appropriate name. Everything ... ...are some great parts to Charlie's Angels. One scene in particular where they fight some Irish cons in a warehouse to Prodigy's Firestarter is excellent, if a little implausible. As usual, the girls stay looking flawlessly made-up and clothed all the way through, even when they set the whole place on fire. However, it is one of the highlights of the film and if you don't think too hard about the stupidity of it, it is great entertainment. The girls ...

...TV series or the first Charlie's Angels film. So why was this so familiar?
Then it hit me. James Bond. The Matrix. Baywatch. Yes, that was it!! It covered all these films in one! I can picture the scene in the Columbia Pictures film planning room. Drew Barrymore, the sexy producer, talking sideways out of her mouth again to John August, one of the writers?
Drew: "I'm running out of small change ? I want to make a film that will make more .. more ... ...formula film then, luvvey."
Drew: "But they've all been done. They're so yesterday. Oh John, I thought you would know better.""

Good guy turned bad nasty villain wants to take over the world, only one man can stop him, trained in the same place so they should be evenly matched in the final fight? Ooh, I could crush a grape."

I am a self-confessed chick flick lover. I love the kind of movies where girls kick ass rather than the guys, so I when I heard about Charlie’s Angels, I had to see it, and when I did I loved it! Obviously after the massive success a sequel was inevitable, so that’s where “Full Throttle” comes in. It’s basically a funny, girly action packed movie.
With the first movie I thought it was cute because it was kept simple, and there was plenty of comedy to keep you entertained as well as brilliant action sequences. This movie is created along the same lines but for some reason I thought it was just different, I don’t know why exactly but the tone felt slightly more comedic than the first ...

Charlie’s Angels Full Throttle is the second in the Charlie’s Angels films. For anyone who doesn’t know, Charlie’s Angels are 3 women, Natalie, Dylan and Alex (played by Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu) who work undercover for the elusive Charlie. The films are based on the TV series from the 70’s (I think), and neither the films nor the series reveal Charlie’s face, all communication is done via a telephone speaker. The Plot This film ... ...to rescue US Marshal Ray Carter (Robert Patrick) who has been kidnapped and his ring stolen. Shortly after he is rescued, a second man is attacked and his ring is also stolen (I can’t remember the name, but he was played by Bruce Willis). The rest of the film follows the Angels on their mission to recover the two rings. The rings separately are no use to anyone, but together they form an encoded file detailing all the people who have been placed ...

Yesterday, I had a child-free few hours, so went out with Emily (Ophelia). One of the things we did was to go to the cinema and see the new Charlie’s Angels film. It was a really good movie and we both thought it was great fun and well worth seeing.
Being rather stuck in a 1970s nostalgia timewarp, I loved the continuity from the old TV series. John Forsythe still provides the voice of Charlie (and is, no doubt, still surrounded by beauties in bikinis), ...

Charlies angels was a lot of harmless fun and everyone seemed to be having a good time. Essentially all the same rules apply to this sequel. everybody returns except bill murray for some more high kicking antics. the story involved some guff about the witness protection scheme in the us. The film opens with the angels retrieving one of the rings and rescuing a us marshall. But then it's found out that dylan (drew barrymore) is one of those in the scheme. It also appears that someone is behind the ring plot and it turns out its an ex-angel named madison (demi moore) Well ultimately the plot is incredibly stupid but ...

Don’t even consider watching this film if you aren’t prepared to leave your brain in the foyer. One and a half hours of air-headed action, barely believable stunts and a story which frankly wouldn’t challenge a two year old.
But what did I really think?
Great film, that’s what, I wanted to be entertained and bombarded by special effects and mild titillation, Full Throttle delivered on all counts. The Angels, Cameron Diaz; Drew Barrymore; Lucy Liu ... ...bit wild. Additional cast members succeed to varying degrees.
My one and only serious gripe was the poorly explained Bosley replacement (Bernie Mac) – just bad casting.
While I think about it, another really bad character, is the guy who plays the villainous Irishman (I don’t know his name and am happy to keep it that way) he has to have the worst Irish accent EVER and he just had zero screen presence for what should have been a very strong character.

Every now and again - and especially now it seems, again and again and again - Hollywood runs out of ideas and makes a sequel or a remake. This movie is one of those sequels. The Angels – Natalie, Dylan and Alex - of course spring into action to save the world ... ...All the stars except Bill Murray have returned for the sequel. In the meantime all the characters are back as we love them except more so - Cameron Diaz plays up the harmless dork, Natalie, Drew Barrymore’s wild child ( where did they get the inspiration for that I wonder ? ) was seemingly a female wrestler and Lucy Liu was even more goody two shoes upper class Alex. Bernie Mac takes over the role of Bosley from Bill Murray and like Murray is largely ...

After a busy day at work I was looking forward to a movie that didn't require too much thinking from the audience- and that is exactly what Charlies Angels: Full Throttle provided.
The Plot
Based on the 70's T.V. series, Charlies Angels is a private investigators firm ran by Charlie, who hires 3 "Angels"- who detect the crime and fight it.
