Since this film was released on the 12th of January I have been looking forward to going to see it as from past experience Tom Hanks never disappoints. In this film he plays Chuck Noland a troubleshooter for Fed Ex the parcel delivery company who is deeply in love with Kelly Frears (Helen Hunt) he is on the verge of proposing when he has to rush off on another job. The latest Tom Hanks movie, castaway, is in my mind, a very underrated hit. I went to the cinema wondering what to expect of this film. Even before it had finished i was sure that this film was nothing short of shear brillance. ...that we go and see Castaway i was surprised as we usually watch comedys and action film but we went nonetheless. This film got mixed reviews from critics and also people i knew that had gone to see it. All the same i decided to spend my hard earned cash on a visit to the cinema. This film, once again, shows off the huge acting talents of Tom Hanks. It's amazing, and had me glued the whole way through. It could have gone on an extra hour and I wouldn't have noticed. It was one of those movies that you think about for hours and even days afterwards, because something about the issues it deals with just grabs you. This movie deals with the idea of being alone for four years with only a football to talk to, and eventually escaping ...
