They Dont Make Them Like This Anymore

Advantages: Brings back those oh so sweet memories
Disadvantages: Maybe the memories should stay that way

...unforgettable theme tune.......We're off to Button moon, we're follow Mr Spoon, Button Moon, Button Mooooooon (which incidently is sung by Peter Davison, of Doctor Who fame and Sandra Dickinson). I am talking, of course (!!!!), of Button Moon. And I thought that those memories would remain that way and I would never get to see the show again. But no, to my delight I was wrong. I found out that in the October of last year a Button moon video had been ...

The best childrens tv programme ever. No really.

Advantages: it's Button Moon. Nothing more needs to be said.
Disadvantages: It's only 50 mins long

#We're off to Button Moon. We'll follow Mr Spoon...# I loved Button Moon. Actually, more accurately, I love Button Moon. I used to watch it religiously when I was younger, and even went to see a live show when it came to my town. My parents took my sister and me to see it, and I think they enjoyed it as much as we did. Ok, so the special effects may not be as good as the ones in programmes nowadays. I'm thinking of the fact that you can see the ...
...wanted to go up to Button Moon, and now he can, thanks to his kind wife and daughter. He starts building the rocket straight away... And I think the description on the back of the video sums his adventures up best: "Every day Mr Spoon goes up in his rocket and flies through the blanket sky to Button Moon. He always makes sure that he has packed his telescope so he can look down at the earth and watch what is happening in the world below." From ...

so good, they made it into a video

Advantages: Great for kids
Disadvantages: as an adult, it may seem silly - but then, look at the teletubbies.

When Ian Allen created Button Moon, he really knew what he was doing. Who else would have thought that a little man made from a washing up liquid bottle, a baked bean can with a funnel on it, and a bright yellow button would soon become a children’s "cult" show. Recently, I got this video for my birhday, and it brings back a lot of lovely childhood memories. The video is entitled Animals on Button Moon, and includes the first ever episode ...
...in otherwise hehe) and watch Button Moon. Button Moon was on ITV, and was made by the company Thames. That theme tune would start "We’re off to button Moon, we’ll follow Mr. Spoon, Button Moooooooooon….", which you can now download from some sites on the net for anyone who’s interested! Peter Davison and Sandra Dickinson sang this wonderfully catchy theme tune - which, much to my shame, I occasionally find myself singing. ...

...asked for was Animals on Button Moon. To my delight, my brother had picked up on the numerous hints I'd dropped, and bought me the video of the programme I used to watch when I was but a tiny girl. It has proved invaluable viewing through the first year of my law degree... and I can't see that changing for quite some time. Ian Allen, I salute you! (He was the genius who came up with such an amazing idea). Basically, Button Moon is a TV programme ...
...it is!! In fact, Button Moon is one of the best remembered TV shows amongst my peer group. Anyone in their late teens to early twenties should remember it! I've been trying to track down exact dates on when it was shown, but am failing. I will update the opinion when I get them. Enough plugging the show, I best give you some detail. Mr Spoon lives with his wife, Mrs Spoon and their daughter Tina Tea-Spoon. They got their names as Mr and Mrs Spoon, ...

We're off to Button Moon....

Advantages: Well I used to think it was great!, The Spoon Family, The theme tune!!
Disadvantages: Well lets just say the story lines weren't too great! (but at the time they were!!)

"We're off to Button Moon, we'll follow mr.spoon, button moon, button moooooon (Theres button moon shining very brightly in blanket sky!) we're off to button moon, button moon, button moon, button moon" (Couldn't help but to burst into song!) I soooooooooo used to love this programme!! It was "da bomb" as we'd say today! This was one of my all time favourite kids programmes (along with Rainbow!) So, for the benefit of the ciaoer's who have never ...
...about the programme. Button Moon had the Spoon family, which consisted of Mr. Spoon, Mrs. Spoon, and Tina. They all lived in a house-shaped box. Each episode was really based around the same sort of theme (as with most, if not all kids' programmes! They generally would blast off in their space rocket and land on Button Moon. So, doesn't sound too great now does it? Well it was ok!! It was pure class! Now for a bit more info (you know you want to ...

...watching the tv series of Button Moon in the 1980's as a child in the mornings on ITV and singing along t the theme tune. "We're off to Button Moon will follow Mr Spoon Button Moon Button Moon." I really liked this programe as a child but it dispeared off our screens without trace. This was proberley due to advancing technogoly and kids wanting better effects on the telly.
