Advantages: The laughs, the characters and the acting Disadvantages: Might not have lived up to the book - I wouldn't know, I haven't read it yet.
...just the way everyone imagines Bridget to be. Even her accent was practically flawless.
Hugh Grant and Colin Firth play the men in Bridget’s life. Grant as her caddish boss and two-timing boyfriend Daniel Cleaver, and Firth as Mark Darcy, the nice divorced man her ghastly mother tries to set her up with and later tries to win her heart. Both play their parts wonderfully. It’s a bit of a turn around for Hugh Grant though, who usually plays nice-but-dull ...

...right after the opening scene. Bridget is sat on her sofa, alone in her pyjamas, getting progressively more sloshed, pretending to be Celine Dion singing "All By Myself". That had me in stitches as it's the sort of thing we've all done when we've had a bit too much and start feeling sorry for ourselves! Things got even better
when Colin Firth turned round, at Una Alconbury's post Christmas "Turkey Curry Buffet" to reveal a "lovely" knitted polo neck ...

introduction

after seeing numerous pictures of Renee Zellweger next to just about every feminine article published I decided to go and see the mutch-talked about Brdget Jones's Diary. Like most blokes I was worried that the film might be aimed at the female audiance and leaving most of us wondering what the fuss was about. Fortunatley , despite having a certain 'chick flick' aspects, the film will still make you laugh ...

...the part of a 30+ Bridget Jones who bumps along in life slightly overweight, while drinking and smoking excessively. This I can really relate to except I dont look good in a short skirt.
Daniel Cleaver (Hugh Grant) and Mark Darcy (Colin Firth) both have messy relationships with Bridget and have unexpected twists in the tales. The film is funny and the scene with the giant knickers had me on the floor as I laughed that much I dropped my can of lager ...

Advantages: Sweet and funny, well-acted, good for its type Disadvantages: You need to be in the right frame of mind
Bridget Jones's Diary: three words that currently divide the nation. Some people will squeal with delight, whilst others recoil in horror and vow never to watch this film so long as they live. They, however, will be the ones missing out on a perfectly enjoyable film. You just have to be in the right frame of mind.
If you step back and imagine that this is not the adaptation of a million-selling book, you will see that it is actually quite a modest ...

Me and my girlfriend both found this film very enjoyable. I was worried that it was going to be a girlie film just poking fun at men with in jokes that only women would really find funny. This was not the case at all. It's a must for anybody who has ever been forced to wear Christmas clothes at a family gathering. Also a must for any men who work in offices, have never been in a fight and wonder how they would perform under the pressure if the situation ...

Run Time: 97 mins

I first watched this film in 2001 after sneaking out of the library with a group of college friends! It was a great way to bring our friendship back together and enjoy laughter once again through the stressful time that dissertations bring!

...go and see what The Bridget Jones's Diary was like because I had spoken to so many different people about the film and have heard different opinions about the film so on Tuesday night, I found the money and dragged my Best friend down to the cinema and we watched The Bridget Jones's Diary.
The film started with her at home, sitting around in her red pyjama's with a glass of Chardonay in her hand, singing her heart out to Celine Dion's All By Myself. ...

Bridget tries to cook for her friends and ends up with blue soup! Which everyone then pretends to enjoy throughout fits of laughter.

I never fancied reading Bridget Jones' Diary but felt that I should go and see the film, after it received such good reviews, and I'm very glad I did as it was brilliant. Renee Zellweger is excellent as Bridget and her English accent is surprisingly realistic. Hugh Grant is at his best playing a bastard and looks better than he ever done in any of his previous films.
For those of you that are not familiar with the plot, Bridget Jones is a thirty ...

Advantages: Great film and very well prodced and very good soundtrack and good casting. Disadvantages: Hugh Grant.
Well at last Bridget Jones is out on video, i must admit after reading the book i was dreading renting the film because the book was so good that i just thought that the film would ruin the story.
But the story about a woman who faces being single for the rest of her life and forever dieting is brought to life by Renee Zelleger and i've insisted that i get it as a present for christmas, what a stocking filler.
This video is perfect for everyone ...
