Advantages: Topicality and that it doesn't date.
Disadvantages: Distasteful to some.

For thoughtful, intelligent people with a dry sense of humour...you can't go wrong. I remeber watching brass eye when it originally aired and loved it. I was recently surfing a popular e-commerce website and found that I could pick up the entire series plus special on DVD for just £8... bargain. I bought it instantly.
