Boo with a capital P!

Advantages: Erm... I laughed a few times and I suppose the cop character was OK
Disadvantages: Dire acting, effects, script and plot.

...whole Dynamite Jones film than Boo any day! Quite how an actor who clearly enjoyed some success, ends up as a tired, aging cop is a matter for conjecture because, once again, no explanation is offered. The acting throughout is dire, which only serves to highlight the poor script. The effects are also consistently weak, so much so that the goriest moments are more likely to make you laugh than squirm, as I did, though I doubt that was the aim. Maybe ...
...some poor misguided fool! Finally, it would appear that fact can be as odd as fiction, even in this case, because Boo was nominated for a Saturn award by the Academy of Sci-Fi, Fantasy and Horror Films, USA, in the category of best DVD release in 2006. The mind boggles! ...

If someone you know has bought this, laugh.

Advantages: None that I can think of
Disadvantages: 97 minutes of my life wasted, cast can't act, effects poor

Don't know how to start this review, I usually like to write something nice, but I can't think of anything nice to say about this movie. I know, the nicest thing about this movie is that I DON'T OWN IT. Woohoo. The storyline goes a little something like this. There is a bunch of teenagers who like to visit haunted houses around Halloween time, but this year the guys decide to set up a few pranks to scare the girls with. They break into an abandonded ...
...story has a another lad trying to find his sister and her friends, again in the same abandonded hospital. "Stay off the third floor", a policeman advises him before he goes in. Suffice to say, this is where most of the action takes place. The film steals a lot of scenes that have been seen in other horror movies, eg. a re-animated dog carcass, missing fingers. And I found it more fun to guess which film I had seen a similar scene in. It looks like ...

Hammy Acting, and Not Very Scary

Advantages: Has it's moments. Quite an original idea
Disadvantages: Very poor acting and the scares get less as the film goes on

The title of the film "Boo" should have been my first clue. I am a huge fan of horror films and was excited to see one about an abandoned haunted hosital. It started off well, a few scares here and there, but quickly turned into a dissapointing film. Actors --------- The main reason for this is the poor quality of acting. The actors are - to put it mildly - Awful. After the inevitability of someone dying in a horror film they all react as if they ...
...There are no big names in the film either, it's mostly just made up of actors in their first film. I can't remember any actors names. Storyline ------------ The storyline, addmitadly, is good. It's quite original, and it does have it's scary moments. But after a while we feel as though we have made friends with all the ghosts and there is too much of a harmless feeling about them. The storyline is that there is a group of teenage friends who like ...
