...seen quite a few. Blade (Wesley Snipes) plays a half vampire or "daywalker" out on the rampage killing all the vampires in sight. Stephen Dorff (Frost) is his counterpart as one of the head vampires. Wesley Snipes was absolutely brilliant, as was Stephen Dorff who is not only a believeable vampire, he also brings sex appeal to the film. ...put in excellent perfomrances as Blade and Deacon Frost repectiveley. Director Stephen Norrington rarely lets the action subside in this ultra-violent look at life with a vampire hunter. All round fantastic visual entertainment. As for the DVD features, there are at least some decent ones on offer. The trailer can be accessed as well as some deleted scenes. ...and crew still and text soundbites, though they are nothing special. The best part is the addition of a behind the scenes film which is where the interest can really be drawn. A really good selection of extra features, and great picture and sound quality, how a DVD should be presented. this film had me wanting more after the first few mins then i'm sorry to say it went a bit down hill. the first few min where action packed with greate effects and goary kills, but then the story kicked in and the actrion and violence took a back seat. the story was not all that bad but if they stuck to the same Routine as the Beginning of the film it would be a bit better. over all, the acting was not all that bad and it keept you entertained so ...

Forget those vampires of old, bela lugosi and such because this is by far much more entertaining. Wesley snipes plays a very beefy half man half vampire, vampire killer and carries the role off really well. Of course vampires don't like to be killed and sort of take offense to this, hence a battle ensues. I won't give the plot away too much because that would ruin it however the film is set at a nice pace with plenty of action. The sound is unbelievable ...
...begining at a nightclub and some good 5.1 effects throughout. the picture is nice and clear and no actifacts are present. the menus are cleverly animated with blood running down them. The only point to mare this film is that many dvds have trouble trying to access some of the extras on this disc. my tosh 2109 just about did the job but it did take a few goes in acessing them. 9.5 / 10 for this one ...
