Advantages: Great eye opener to big wave surfing Disadvantages: It is a bit comercial
BILLABONG ODYSSEY
To start off with I would like to say that I am not normally Billagongs biggest fan. I fell the are making a lot of money selling over priced clothing by using surfings image. However I would have to admit they make a good film.
There are some people in this country who think surfing is a bit sissy, (normally skaters). This film will make them realise that there is a lot more to surfing than they think and even on a general scale ... ...This film is about Billabong gathering together some of the biggest names in big wave surfing and setting out to find the biggest wave they can.
Being a large company, Billabong throw a lot of money into this "quest" and supply lt jet ski's and helicopters ect.
The DVD goes through the stages of searching the worlds largest breaks and training their surfers to use the jet ski's to tow them into waves which would otherwise be too big to paddle onto.
