Advantages: Very Funny Romantic Comedy with a twist. Disadvantages: Theres no part 2 / follow up film!
What can be better than chocolate? I hear you ask?.... This film is!
The first time I watched this was with my friend and I wasn't too sure what to expect from it after hearing the title! But this really is a fantastic film!
The Cast.
The two main characters are Maggie who is played by Karyn Dwyer, Maggie is a lesbian who works in a gay bookshop after dropping out of uni and Kim who is played by Christina Cox, Kim is an artist who travels around ... ...other characters are, Frances who is the owner of the gay bookshop that Maggie works in, Judy who is a post-op transsexual who has fallen in love with Frances. There is also Maggie’s mother and brother who come to stay with Maggie after her mothers recent divorce.

Advantages: Well, everyone smiles a lot! Disadvantages: Just all round.....ODD
OK, firstly I realise this film has quite a large following/fan base, so sorry if I am about to 'diss' yer fave film, but ...WHAT!!?!?!?
I mean, honestly...what the hell is this film about??? Maybe I just don;t 'get it'....(not like that!!!!)
The plot:
Maggie (big curly hair) fails to get into Law School. She currently works for Frances (owner of a gay bookshop...ODD looking, not a real person). Maggie meets Kim (blond short haired woman pretending ... ...seeming very full of herself) Kim lives....in a van (as you do). They fall madly in love.
Right. Until now that's all fair enough....until Maggie's Mum comes to visit (and stay with her). Not only does she not know Maggie's lesbian, but she has NO idea that the place she ends up staying belongs to a woman who owns a sex toy shop (again, that's likely!) And then follows a 'hilarious' set of compromising situations, where Maggie and Kim can't keep ...

Advantages: It made me laugh Disadvantages: Because it was a little cringe worthy
I'd been wanting to watch this for ages, it's been raved about so much in the lesbian community that I just had to watch it so, I did! Okay so, theres Maggie (Karyyn Dwyer) who's quit uni and works in a book store, is sleeping on the couch in the back. Obviously not an ideal situation, so she lets an apartment. Then theres Kim (Christina Cox) who goes from place to place in a van doing portraits. They meet, fall in love and move in together after ... ...she doesn't know she a lesbian. What follows is a romp to protect her mom from the truth, although she finds out in the end any. Throw in a transgendered female, some dildo's, a bit of bonking in the loo's of the local dyke bar, and you've got yourself an average coming out film. I didn't love, but I didn't hate it either. It was okay for what I wanted it to do, which was fill in an otherwise boring monday evening. ...
