Advantages: great story, good acting, good funny bits Disadvantages: Russell Brand is in it!
...of Skeeter they make up bedtime stories. After the first night Skeeter finds that the story they made up did in fact come true for him and he lived it out during the day. Skeeter tries to use this to his advantage and help him move up in the hotel industry. Will Skeeter be able to use the children’s stories to get his dream job or will things not work out as he planned?
I have only given a very brief plot outline to this film as I think that giving ... ...little predictable towards the end so I don’t want to spoil it for anyone who has not seen it. Now this film is really for children but I really did want to see it as it looked very fun. I have to say that both me and hubby found it was very entertaining and at times very funny. I thought that Adam Sandler did a great job in the role of Skeeter as his character was daft and this for me is what he does best. I think he had a great chemistry with both ...

Advantages: Funny, good cast, Guy Pearce and Bugsy the guinea pig Disadvantages: More could have been made of the story sequences
...nephew, when he discovers the bedtime stories he tells them start to come true. With the help of the kids, he tries to manipulate future events to the benefit of both his family and himself. Will he ever become manager at the hotel? Will he find love where he least expects it? Will he become a hero and save the day for his niece and nephew?
Acting/Characters
*************
I want to start off by saying, my favourite character without a doubt is ... ...Sandler is his usual ridiculous self in this film - all loud voice, burps, farts and booger jokes and exaggerated hand gesters - exactly what attracts kids to a film. You can't help but think that from a childs' perspective Sandler would be the ultimate Uncle and yet from a grown ups perspective, he would be a nightmare! He has a way of engaging the younger audience which, even though it's mostly infantile humour, I can't help but wish I could do ...

He attempts to take advantage of the phenomenon, incorporating his own aspirations into one outlandish tale after another, but it's the kids' unexpected contributions that turn Skeeter's life upside down. Advantages: Enjoyable and funny Disadvantages: Not a lot, really
...evening, he tells them a bedtime story. The next day, parts of the story come true, and he soon realises that the way to getting what he wants in life is through telling the stories.
Sandler is likeable enough as Skeeter. To be honest, he doesn't really do anything different to any other role he plays, with the same juvenile actions and attitude that you can relate all of his characters to. Guy Pearce is instantly dislikeable as the yuppy suck aiming ... ...and the story revolves around bedtime stories coming true lends a certain licence to Sandler to enter his own imagination and splurge it out in a story, and the result is actually quite funny. The CGI hamster named Bugsy, because of his eyes, is a laugh out loud moment for many, and the plot, while predictable and having been done before, is still an enjoyable one. I liked watching this, and it kept me entertained throughout.
Many will not like ...

Advantages: entertaining, funny, great cast, unique story Disadvantages: not long enough!
...ticket to go and see Bedtime Stories in the cinema, and as it was a film I was planning on seeing anyway, I accepted it with pleasure. There were two main reasons I wanted to see this film, primarily down to the cast. Knowing that both Adam Sandler and Courtney Cox were going to be in it, two favourite actors of mine, I couldn't wait to see, and had high expectations for it.
Bedtime Stories is a film based on a character named Skeeter Bronson (Adam ... ...tells his niece and nephew bedtime stories, they start to come true the next day. Can he use these stories to win his way into the business again, and get the girl of his dreams?
As said, the main reason I went to see this was because of the cast, but did they deliver? Thankfully, they did! Adam Sandler, who has been in films such as Click and Happy Gilmore, was as funny as ever. He's definitely a comic actor and can make the part of Skeeter his ...

Advantages: The dreams and how they come true are clever Disadvantages: Its got a weak ending
...Sandler discovers that the bedtime stories his nephew & neice tell come true in real life, its quite a clever idea and seeing what the causes of some of the real dreams is fairly clever but its an idea I feel they didn't explore fully. Throw in a bit of a love story between Sandler & the hotel owners daughter, a comedy CGI hamster that the little kids will love but most adults will probably find rather annoying and wait until Sandler tries to corrupt ... ...rather predictable if somewhat soppy and rather dull ending and you have Bedtime Stories. It's enjoyable once but won't stand up to repeated viewings I fear. Sandler tried a little too hard to make his kids movie but the end product fell a little short of the mark. ...

Advantages: Bugsy made me spray popcorn across the room. Disadvantages: Fans might feel a little let down.
Bedtime Stories... People who know me will tell you I look nothing like Adam Sandler, but only after you ask them if I do, and even then probably only after you ask them whether I like his films. The answer you'll get to your first question (read it again... trust me, it makes sense) is a resounding yes, probably followed by a 'Duh!' If I had a tattoo... oh yeah, the review. Bedtime Stories tells the tale of Skeeter Bronson (Sandler) a handy-man ... ...he decides to spin them bedtime stories setting himself as the hero. The children add their own parts to his tale's and to Skeeter's amazement they start coming true. Suffice to say in true Fairytale fashion Skeeter gets the girl and lives happily ever after. Now, that's all fine and dandy, a story simple enough for the kids to grasp, enough toilet humour to hold the attention of the males and a romantic pull to keep the ladies watching, 'so why,' ...
