...good at doing is telling bedtime stories with the help of a goggly eyed hamster and the children. But when their imaginative stories begin to come true, Skeeter sees an opportunity to get everything he's ever dreamed of. ~ Cast ~ Skeeter Bronson - Adam Sandler Jill - Keri Russell Mickey - Russell Brand Patrick - Jonathan Morgan Heit Bobbi - Laura Ann Kesling Kendall - Guy Pearce Barry Nottingham - Richard Griffiths Violet Nottingham - Teresa Palmer ... ...are attempting to steer the bedtime stories in a direction which will be beneficial to them by trying to add more grown up things into the stories such as sexy women, lots of money and revenge on those who deserve it. These parts are more comical and more appropriate for the adults in the audience which does make this a great film for the whole family. There is still a lingering of Sandler's stupid humour which pops up occasionally throughout the ...

...he tells the children a bedtime story... and it comes true. 'Bedtime Stories' possesses an incredible potential--the premise is magical, the possibilities are endless... what if stories could become reality? What would we do with such an incredible gift? What life would we create for ourselves--but more importantly, would we be able to remain true to ourselves? As Skeeter proves in this movie, given such an incredible gift, no matter how kind-natured ... ...are bound to surface. Adam Sandler manages to give Skeeter some depth of character, however, it is a depth that isn't all that deep. Sandler only skims the surface, never quite managing to make his character totally loveable. Skeeter is a flawed character that is superficial. Although meant to be easy-going, he's so stressed and frustrated most of the time that his behaviour is more often lukewarm than warm, and after he discovers the powers of storytelling, ...

Advantages: Cute kids, some amusing moments, guinea pig really grew on me Disadvantages: Just not funny enough for adults.
Bedtime Stories had been on our dvd list since seeing a trailer for it at the cinema. My husband had been particularly keen to see it while I was so-so. SO SHOULD I SEE IT Bedtime Stories had the possibility to be a delightful, fanciful film about children's imaginations. It also had the potential to be ...

...night Skeeter tells them a bedtime story which they love and they each add their own thoughts about what should happen in the adventure story. Skeeter discovers that parts of the bedtime story come true the following day and this has amazing consequences for his life. Can he realise his dream of being manager of the hotel and getting the girl of his dreams to fall for him?
I quite enjoyed this film, it is by no means the best Disney film I have ... ...The storyline is a bit weak, some of the laughs are a bit silly but it is enjoyable all the same. The film is really made to appeal to children and as such there aren’t as many jokes for adults although that’s not to say that they wont enjoy it too.
The acting is nothing to write home about and is quite stereotypical. Sandler plays much the same role as he does in most films, the boy that never grew up. Guy Pearce plays the stereotypical bad man ...
